It's funny: When that movie came out, there was a sliver of the child population who loved it, but not all kids. I remember rolling my eyes in like seventh or eighth grade when the fifth or sixth graders were going "turtle, turtle, turtle," like it wasn't some shit they were laughing at because the movie told them it was supposed to be funny. It practically had a laugh track. The movie has been forgotten by all who were not in whatever grade those kids were in when I rolled my eyes at them. It's like people born in one particular year loved it. The rest didn't see it or were too old for it by the time they were in junior high. That movie is the absolute low point of Martin Short's career. He, more than anyone, will have wanted to forget it ever happened.
@RaquelFoster4 ай бұрын
I remember seeing the trailer on TV. Dana's in the turtle costume and he says, "Am I not turtle-y enough for you?" I've never rolled my eyes so hard in my life. It looked sooooo bad. For about the next five years my ex liked to randomly say "Am I not turtle-y enough for you?" to annoy me. I've never seen Pluto Nash, but I'm sure Master of Disguise is worse. It's worse than Corky Romano or The Lady's Man. The thing is, I didn't want to see it, but my ex worked at a theater and we saw everything. And there was nothing else to see. After 9/11 tons of movies got their releases delayed because nobody wanted to put out violent movies.
