O my God! So refreshing to see and hear from the honesty!! As a hairdresser, clients tend to pressure us in to perfect. Thank you for reminding me that my mistakes are honest and thank you for remaining humble! So many of us strive for perfection, when it doesn't really exist.
@BobbyHairStudio3 жыл бұрын
I agree SO HARD with that! Lol! Yes honesty is so important and clients are reasonable and understand that it’s not perfect (for the most part! There can be some crazies out there who don’t have room for human err) but we never intend on it! If I could do perfect hair every time, I would. But this is chemistry and art. Art is not perfection. Chemistry is not easy!

U should always strive for perfection. Her attitude n outlook sucks! I know professionals here in NYC that don't ever fuck up n ur gonna leave with what u want. Start thinking like her n ur gonna b just another mediocre hairdresser! I'm sorry but the last thing she should b doing is making videos n documenting 2nd rate service u may as well go to the cut-n-corral if u plan on visiting this hairdresser. What she should b doing is improving her skill n strive for perfection. This is ridiculous

Thank you so much for encouraging other professionals to be honest about making mistakes. That’s exactly the reason why I have tried three different colorists in my city and haven’t been back to either and event hesitated to recommend them when asked, because they all made pretty visible mistakes, said no word about it and I realised when I got home. Thank you for encouraging honesty. ❤️

I once went to a hair color specialist who turned my level dark brown hair into a level 7/8 blonde on one setting . It took about 7 hours from start to finish and it cost me close to $500 plus tip . This was done almost 20 years ago , I can’t imagine what it cost now to get those kind of results on one setting especially if you have dark hair like myself or need color correction. It takes a lot of work and time .

So my question, for my second bleach, bleach bath, or should I bleach again with 20? Did two strand test after the first bleach and it held up. So if I do a second bleach can I use a blue toner instead of the cool additive, with her bleach?

Wow the tips in this video is amazing. Like the 7 vol on any banding in betweenbottom and top sectioning/bleach application! And I had never heard of k18 will definitely try this out. I bleach my roots and I am platinum but because of awful salon visits b4 me trusting myself to do it properly, I have fragile hair where botch jobs were done. I usually just add olaplex to my blonde me bleach(I know I dont need to, but I get great lift and no damage) and coconut oil on my whole head for any accidental overlap. I am still struggling with toner and wanting the most minimal damage/product to be used when toning for my perfect blonde

I'm sorry but I know professionals that would laugh at that statement! When a customer is spending hours n hundreds of dollars i would think most if not all would expect to get what they want especially if the clients hair would not have a problem getting to that specific desired outcome. If I heard someone tell me I'm human I make mistakes n it's unrealistic to come in n expect to get exactly what u want! I'm sorry but that is unexceptable! It's one thing if I want my hair to do something it's not capable of n at that time the professionals would explain why it's unachievable n not because she or he might make a mistake it's just not an option for my hair type. But to say we all make mistakes n as a client I should basically come in expecting there is a good chance I'm not gonna get what I'm picturing or want when it's achievable is Ludacris n bloody rubbish. After u made that statement I wouldn't sit in ur chair if u offered to do my hair for free. You sound very unsure of your capabilities
@Bentoboxbaby2532 жыл бұрын
Interesting. I must've missed the memo that said "you must be perfect and if you're not perfect then you must be entirely incapable." You're definitely taking the drama to the next level by saying "there is a good chance I'm not gonna get what I want." Yeahh, not sure where you got that one from. Her comments were a reminder for people like you who don't see them as human beings. Trust me when I say that I have been to stylists who absolutely destroyed my hair color/integrity. So I know when someone has no clue what they're doing and needs to get more education. I would obviously never return to have them touch my hair ever again. The difference is that she stated it was a minor mistake and clearly it was minimal enough that her client is happy with her stylist and has returned for another appointment. That means there is trust, which means she kinda knows wtf she's doing. And fyi, issues with lightening are not only about maintaining integrity. There are TONS AND TONS of reasons why lightener may not have the same outcome from one client to the next. Each client has a different hair history which means potentially different results. I would hate to have someone like you as a client, so please do take your "perfection expectations" elsewhere 👋✌️

@BobbyHairStudio3 жыл бұрын
Any product or time I spend (if I’m charging for the service or for the time spent) doing a fix of my own, I don’t add to the total. So if I was charging for extra bowls because she has lots of hair, one half bowl would not be charged because I used that to fix my old work. If it were time based, I would knock off 15 minutes off my charge time for that application ♥️♥️ so happy you love it! Thank you
