Do you ever use the mattress stitch or CAL as you go to along? I’ve only made your daisy blanket for my granddaughter, but I used the flat stitch on top of the blanket. 🥰💜🌹🌻🇺🇸❤️ 🇦🇺.

This and your single crochet together video were so clear and easy to understand. I have a question though. I'm making a blanket so when I get my row as long as I need it do I just flip over the unsewn parts and do another row down the oposite direction? I don't know if that makes sense. Basically, do you do the same thing to the rows that aren't sewn yet?
@CrochetwithClare9 жыл бұрын
+Magdalena Herrington Yes, what I do is do all the across rows- so you will have your blanket joined but only across ways - then turn your blanket and do all the un-sewn across ways Gosh that is really hard to describe ! sew all the acrosses and then the downs will be left to do, turn blanket and sew the downs, which is now your accrosses because you turned the blanket hahahahaha now that sounds even more confusing :)

lol I get it. Thank you so much. you are one of the only people who have done a video on a granny square with a sc around it.

What if you're using more than one color to join the squares? I'm not sure how to change the color. I'm using black and buff. I need to switch black to buff in one sewing round. Can you help me please? I find this the best sewing method.
@CrochetwithClare10 жыл бұрын
Yes you would have to switch back and forth from the black to the buff when needed.

thank you for this tutorial.. I prefer this method than doing the single crochet stitch 'coz this will make the squares flat..

I'm making a pixel blanket with my sister and it's supposed to look like Link, from the legend of Zelda. I have a question, though. What color yarn would I use to sew together two different color squares? For example, sewing together green to brown, which color would I use to sew them together?
@CrochetwithClare9 жыл бұрын
+Nanoria Bates I have never made a blanket like that but if i was going to I would use one of the colours of the squares :)
@jilloberheide74799 жыл бұрын
+bobwilson123 Exactly MY problem! I'm making an "Around The World" baby blanket of Navy and Ecru. I guess I'll have to switch colors quite often as I go into the light color then the dark color? My daughter doesn't want the framed-looking squares with a single connecting color, know what I mean?

Hola! Me gustaría hacerme un poncho con estos granny squares. Cómo puedo hacerlo, por favor? Gracias y un fuerte saludo
@CrochetwithClare8 жыл бұрын
+Eny K. hi, i am not sure how you would do that
@carmenortiz52948 жыл бұрын
Easy, you make the squares, attach them so you form a very large square, but leave off some in the middle so you can get your head inside. Instant poncho.

you didn't actually show how to finish off, i'm so confused. i liked the rest of the video though. Edit. I sewed my squares together and tried finishing them by sewing the tail back in through what i just sewed and now it is falling apart in many places. what am i missing?
@CrochetwithClare9 жыл бұрын
+Liz Farrell Hello, I just watched the tutorial and you are correct it didn't show how to finish ,, SO SORRY about that When you get tot the end, before you pull the last loop tight, out your needle through the loop and then pull snug, do this again and then leave at lease 2-3 inches for sewing in, i usually sew this into the square and not where i joined them together

I'm teaching myself to crochet and watching videos is it for me, I think the video would have been better if you finished sewing all four squares together instead of just saying the rest
