i had a very similar forehand problem where my elbow didn’t seem to get low enough to throw a steep hyzer. my biggest fix was dropping down lower with my legs on release (similar to the squat/lunge that chris clemons does). this lets me lean over the throwing arm more so that i can drop my elbow and forearm down further and finish upwards on a hyzer angle.

Certain "Runs" make or break molds for me and it's taken me a while to learn to give them a try again in another run of plastic. I had this experience with the Athena. I bought a 6 claw Esp Athena that was flippy and I wrote the mold off, thinking they were all flippy, until I saw my friend throw one a year later in a different plastic. I asked to throw his and it was true to flight numbers. So, I went and bought 4 different runs of Athenas and have found what I like best now, which is just a stock ESP Athena over 174 grams and it's the most important Fairway in my bag now for the last 6 months. I'm glad I decided to give them another try.

In case it hasn't been said yet. I think you have to go past the stock angle you are trying to achieve. Basically, go out there and try to spike hyzer a forehand total submarine style. Start with approaches and eventually do your full drive.

The buzzz is great. I have a beat in z buzzz. I recently purchased the 20 year wasp tooled buzzz and the plastic is great and it’s like the beat in z buzzz brand new. The Halloween buzzz is similar to the 20 year. Would be cool to see you compare the Halloween buzzz to a new z buzzz.

the secret to the Buzzz is the 4 glide. point and spin. don't worry about the cross currents.

The buzz really shows the flaws in my throwing form, FH and BH. I got the buzz from the ice bowl this year, and hated throwing it. I was about 6 months into playing disc golf. I have recently been working on my form and have thrown the buzz a couple of fieldwork days, and I dont hate it now.

I felt the same way you have felt about the buzzz but for the roc3, always hated it and hated the bead. However I picked one up and it’s the only mid that’s felt good in a power grip for me and I can’t get enough of it now.

Instead of a stacked finger grip on forehand, curl your forefinger in under your middle finger and put more of the finger tip on the rim. Everything else being equal you will get another 15-20* of added hyzer angle available.

I think you might be thinking of the hinge wrong in order to get more hyzer on your forehand. Need to remember to keep your chest forward so you don't lose power and hinge to your right side as well as hinge forward. Its different than a hyzer backhand where you just lean forward. Gossage has a pretty dramatic lean as well as Wolff to demostrate. Need to get that right shoulder down

Buzzz is an odd disc for me as it is the only disc I bag that I don't like the feel. Fact is it is likely my best throwing disc and most trustworthy (even though it doesn not feel good in the hand).

Only time I can control a forehand is when I disregard every grip ever mentioned and just pinch the rim extremely hard. You get insane angle control and insane no power control.

I’ve never loved the feel of the Buzzz. My favorite midrange mold is the Roc3. Which is the exact same shape as a Buzzz but with a bead. In my opinion, there is no better midrange than a Champ Roc3 that’s been beaten in to be straight.
