I try to get to Metroflex a few times a year to work out. Not a bodybuilder, but a powerlifter. Love the place and Brian is one of the nicest guys around. I am so happy for all the success Brian is having. Good things do happen to good people. I love it how the pose coach Sheila shook their hands. I see her 2 or 3 times per week in our gym and she always hugs me. I wish they would have shown Johnnie Jackson in here. He is a great bodybuilder, nice guy, and a good friend.

I'd love to see Corey Mathews make it, it's people like him, the one's who didn't get shit from society and still end up being good people that really deserve to have all the advantages that come with being a down person. The guys good works his ass off in the gym in the mourning then goes to another job then back to the gym, then he goes home to a wife and plays with his kids, to me that's a good person. I wish the dude good luck in his career in body building as I would do to any younger person working their way off the fucking streets, we all fuck up in life and sometimes bad, but it don't mean your shit it's just the way it is, you got doing it, as this guy has. It's sad that gyms like this are a dying breed. The grimiest places produce the real monsters. I started out training in a gym very similar to this one in a rundown warehouse next to the airport in Miami. No A.C., no T.V.s and no spinning classes. Just lots of blood, sweat and tears.

They forgot one key ingredient other than genetics and hard work...anabolic steroids. Not knocking anyone, but I don't take steroids, have no desire to. To each their own. I respect these bodybuilders. But, to achieve that size, with the genetics and hard work, you need steroids.
@evangodbee24254 жыл бұрын
@@ScottishStrength nobody said anyone who takes steroids doesn't have to train hard and eat well. BUT the point was to be at that level you need to take drugs. I think it's also dramatised speculation that Ronnie was natural up until he turned pro. If you're logical and can think critically you'd be likely to conclude that he wasn't natural. I've had NPC competitors in Golds Venice tell me they are natural because this drug and that drug are considered "natural". Lots of clearly enhanced guys pretty much lie to themselves with this stuff.
@ScottishStrength4 жыл бұрын
Evan Godbee they lie because of the political aspect of things and because it could reduce their chance of sponsorship. Most supplement companies wouldnt want someone who admits use to promote their products even though everyone at the top of their game in almost every sport takes some form of ped but their is a handful of people who do have the genetics to get to a high place without use but to be the best or be with the best of the best you will have to take peds

Why everyone on KZbin that goes into bodybuilding videos just claim "steroids! Steroids!" Who cares. These guys have sponsors like supplement companies that pay them to be the face of their brands. They can't say they take steroids, because companies want people to think that just taking supplements you can look like a pro... Not anyone can become a pro, doesn't matter if you take all the steroids in the world. You need genetics, nutrition and hardwork...
@kevinaraujo49456 жыл бұрын
People do care cause it's fake. You just said sponsors want the average lifter to believe it's the supplements take make u grow so he can live a wealthy lifestyle off of the back of a blind , dumb, and stupid gym goer. So, therefore we are taking shots at all these motherfuckers the sponsors and sterile head and burying them. It's all about the image and more important the money behind the image. We have a right to comment if u don't like it fuck off. This is America not some other where the people have to remain silent. Juice heads are fake anyone who takes anabolics and works out can be that big. Plus it feed there ego

@gidi57799 жыл бұрын
It isn't a gas mask its a mask to restrict oxygen and get the body used to less oxygen so the body is more efficient with the oxygen available without the mask
@ramsiffle9 жыл бұрын
OmegaKent It's an altitude mask, like Gi Di said, it gets the body used to working without oxygen, and it makes the muscles work harder, so that you gain more muscle with the same effort.

Could someone educate me please, I've heard there are natural body building competitions and open competitions (jacked, steroids welcome). Which ones are they competing in? For those who make fun of or look down on steroid using body builders, please understand they are taking tremendous health risks to gain competitive edge, b/c one simply cannot compete at the highest level without steroids, that's a fact. The more weights they are able to lift w/ steroid, means more wear and tear on their bodies. Not to mention their kidneys and other serious health issues, it is a trade off that they understood when their risk their healths to compete. This is a matter of personal choice, and I respect them. Taking steroids are a huge help, but the core of success is still their diets and hardcore training. If you think a random Joe could be a top competitor by simply taking steroids, you are naive and ignorant. W/ that being said, I respect those body builders for their dedications and sacrifice. Personally, I am find w/ my very average physique, and certainly do not want to look like a hulk. Good luck big boys!
