I love this gorilla family/troop. I’m happy to see them all looking good and healthy. Every time I see Gentaro he’s grown even more….he’s getting huge and will be a very impressive silverback some day.

I think that it's more healthy for western gorilla living is zoos to have an enclosure built in height, just like this one. In the wild, they would climb a lot at the top of the trees. Also, looking at the Momotaro family in general, they are more muscular than other gorillas in captivity. It's incredible the strength that it must demand to hold yourself down by the fingers.

The zoo keeper said awhile back, that they give them shots for there muscles, and only thing I know, would be steroids,which, will give them anger problems,I wish they would not give them those shots.Its inhumane.

Estou horrorizada!! Nossa!! Esteróides fazem muito mal, a vários órgãos, estou chocada!!! Eu não tenho palavras, parem com isso, eu sei que alguns gorilas tem uma doença muscular, os humanos quando envelhecem também tem doenças musculares, e infelizmente cada vez mais novo, eu não acredito mais que os Zoos querem ajudar na preservação e procriação em cativeiro, não vou generalizar, mas, é só decepção, que tristeza, realmente fiquei triste, é se continuar assim sem esperança.

The gorillas’ enclosure may be small in surface area but the height component helps make up for it. Clearly a good idea in helping them exercise.

Meus dois amores Kintaro e Genki, por favor não de nenhum medicamento que provoque outras doenças ou comprometa os órgãos desses magnificos gorilas, eu escrevo muito triste só de imaginar, não são palavras absurdas porque quase fui estagiária em um Zoo, e fiquei estarrecida com a quantidade de animais que morrem no Zoo, amo muito esses animais, essa família, quando se administra um medicamento a equipe se reúne e convetsa varias vezes para discutir os efeitos, a eficácia e se realmente e necessário, a vida é o bem mais precioso que os seres vivos possuem. Genki é linda, inteligente, forte, Kintaro é um garotinho incrível, inteligente, corajoso, apaixoonante, se eu tivesse como, compraria um terreno imenso para fazer um santuario para colocar algumas familias, principalmente a Momotaro, Monta e Laura, tirar daquele Zoo horrivel, mas, voltando a realidade, eu realmente me importo com os gorilas e com essa família. Amo muito meus dois lindos Kintaro e Genki ❤❤
