There's an additional factor. All of them are wearing body cameras. When they dock the cameras in the charging station at the end of the shift, that footage will get downloaded to Axon's servers. Even before then, depending how their department set the system up, they may have accessed the videos and flagged them with the incident number to link them to the case. Every second they keep that drunk talking is pure, twenty-four carat evidentiary gold. And by being Deputy Friendly they've got more high ground than Mount Everest if the jury ever sees it. Which, if the drunk's lawyer has an ounce of sense, won't happen, because he'll either plea bargain or plead as charged, if the county attorney won't play ball.

Corporations who sell alcohol need to watch this, politicians need to watch this, and the public need to watch this. Alcohol is a drug and they made it legal for consumption.

I’m only 27 and I’m scared to drive at night because of drunk drivers. The fact he’s this intoxicated during the day is really scary. I know I’m a good driver but my father always taught my siblings and I to drive as if everyone else doesn’t know how to. This guy should absolutely have his license taken away. I can’t imagine how he is going to feel waking up that hungover in a cell…

@@ericprinzing1600 That's fair, but I've also been this drunk before, and I've never spoken to anyone like that while drunk, certainly not when I'm blatantly in the wrong. Maybe my original comment was a tad harsh, but he was also arrested for DUI several other times. It's a deliberate choice to drive drunk, especially multiple times.

These videos make me grateful for the police stopping these people from driving. There was a sad incident here recently where two teens were recently killed in a collison with a truck. Turns out the truck driver was driving drunk and hit them at an intersection. One of the teens died instantly and other died in hospital, while the truck driver had minor injuries. So many lives lost because someone chooses to drink and drive. It's so sad.

He's clearly an alcoholic who developed tolerance at this point. But driving is actually way easier than handling a situation like being stopped by a cop. His brain got overwhelmed as soon as he had to do something less familiar.

That level of intoxication is deadly. People getting killed by drunk/high drivers is still a regular occurrence. Jail sentences should be determined on their alcohol/drug levels at the time of the arrest, not how many times they’ve been caught. NO SECOND CHANCES!

Unfortunately, I don't think it's alcohol that's doing it; a lot of people are just really immature and entitled these days. Everybody thinks they should be fine to do whatever they want, and that people should just leave them to it
