standing behind a car's engine block can negate a lot of incoming fire since there will be too much hard surfaced material to pierce. the police probably could have ricocheted rounds into his legs and feet from under the vehicle in a larger volume and gotten better results

Umm, How do you shoot 36 shots and only hit his foot!? I think they need some more gun training. I have only shot a gun a handful of times in my life. I could get more hits with with 36 shots. That said I'm truly thankful for those that run into the danger and not away from it. I have a nephew whom is in law enforcement. Also, one in the Army. Unfortunately, we became a Gold Star family when my uncle was killed in Veitnam. My family has had someone that served in every war, all the way back to the Revaluation.
