I know that Jingles is not active wows player , is just like he comment videos , he was once few years ago maybe when he was CC , but not anymore , I dont know how it is with WOT or War Thunder as I dont play those game ... when I started to play wows there was 2 YT that I watched to learn how to play Jingles and Notser and I learned a loot from them , now I only watch Jingles (Notser is not active :/) and I consider Jingles as entertaining YT Channel , and I dont mid when Jingles will say something "notty" ... but as WOWS active player I have secont though ... what if someone new to game watch Jingles , and then got idea that all Pan Asian destroyers have deepwater torps ... he will be in DD on my team and get torped by Anshan , just because he got false info from Jingle ( there was few month back video where Jingles made that misstake) , so yeah I think Jingles getting "old fat cat" , and is too busy/lazy to learn new tricks , nd that would be fine by my , but notice how Jingles present his videos , he comment those from position of authority , he would not do that if he would just joke , I think Jingles need to spend bit more time doing research about new mechanics in game , TMJ is biggest wows Channel out there , and to stay this way he need to keep with new things in game, that is my opinion.

I love the Pommern. I play a lot of naval miniature games, and many years ago Superior Models came out with a German "H"-class BB armed with 12x15" guns. Their rationale was that even if the Germans had completed the H-class ships the planned armaments (16" and 20" guns) weren't far enough along in development (or even begun) that the guns wouldn't have been available when the hulls were ready for their guns. Makes sense...🤔 The only alternative would have been to fall back on the existing 15" guns, and so the 15" H-class BB was born. (I have no idea if the Germans actually had a "paper project" for this armament on a H-class hull - the Superior design was the first time I saw it, and that was back in the late '70s/early '80s.) I was really happy to see that ship finally appear in WoWS, and have been sailing my Pommern ever since.😁😎

@@Fitzwalrus06 Pommern is my second fav behind Bama. Bama's such a battlewagon with bitching AA and even better torp reduction. And those 16" super heavy American AP shells severely hurt whatever they hit. The only thing Pommern has is torps and her shells move faster so you don't have to lead as much as Bama. She's a close 2nd for my fav ship.

I mainly play DD. Nothing pisses me off more than cruisers with Radar. Radar is not supposed to work behind obstacles like land masses. Wargaming needs to fix this. If I'm hiding in smoke behind an Island your radar should never detect me this goes for sonar too. I'm behind a fucking ISLAND!!!

They've implemented mechanics for islands to block line of SIGHT, why can't they apply the exact same mechanics to radar and sonar? But who knows, maybe they can't fix it because they're busy working on subs that go 20 knots under water and 30 kn on the surface, and have sonars that guide homing torpedoes; or on CVs that have aircraft factories on board. Who knows?

@@johnnyenglish583 Unfortunately, there's likely no way for WeeGee to have hydro or radar deal with LOS blocks. At least, not without irreparably breaking the game code. What they've done (I assume since the beginning) is make hydro and radar affect your assured detection range (that's normally 2km for every ship and works regardless of obstacles); hydro and radar bump yours up to the range of the hydro or radar, which means you get to see behind islands and stuff because you are guaranteed to spot ships within your assured detection range.

The smoke thing is even more fun with either a Schliefen or a UU Kurfürst and that sub got spotted because the Pommern gets german hydro and it was running. Last but not least, that 4 torp spread going towards the Pommern came from the Iwami, she got torps too.

In-game radar can magically see through islands too 🙄 and that's been pointed out many, many times, but WG refuses to change it. For whatever reason this is how they want the game to be, so any correction is probably highly unlikely.

@@Thurgosh_OG It's because of what hydro and radar actually do. So many people don't really understand what's going on when you use them. What they do is increase the assured detection range one-sidedly. As in, regularly, you will spot ships regardless of obstacles at 2km, no matter what. Hydro and radar increase that range out to whatever the range of the hydro or radar are, but only for your ship. Does it make sense? Not really. Is that how it works in real life? Not at all. Is that how WeeGee has decided to do it? Absolutely. Lazy, in that instead of doing a separate detection check for the consumables they went with just adjusting a variable they already had on hand, but smart in that it was a simple addition that didn't require a lot of testing. Given WeeGee's absolutely dented programming skills as a whole, if they were to separate them now, they'd only end up breaking everything in the process.

Ignoring ships and letting my secondaries burn them down is one of my favorite things to do with the Pommern. Even though secondary builds don't really serve the meta it is literally the most fun way to play the Pommern. Pommern is a knife fighter get into secondary range and let them wreck everything in range while leaning on pommerns excellent armor for survival, pop hydro and maneuver for torp and main battery opportunities. Probably not the best team strategy but definitely the most fun for Pommern.

That smoke bit... One of my favourite random games was me doing that in a schlieffen. Basically game starts, Shima next to me tells me to follow him for "some top grade BS" and I liked the sound of that. So we charge the center cap like a pair of idiots while I'm wondering exactly how this is going to work. Shima gets in front of me and starts smoking before the cap and I realised what this little troll wanted to do, and I was all for that. So I swap to HE because all 3 red dds would murder a shima, shima blows right out of the smoke into a daring. Daring opens up and then I appear as my smoke firing penalty reveals me but between that salvo and schlieffens god tier secondary battery thatbpoor daring didn't get much time to realise what shima had arranged. Good old red wedding style party. Well I don't think I fired more than 3 salvos that game because shima made a point of leading me to the enemy, smoking me up and spotting for me. I sat in smoke role playing as 3 shermans with torps. Got over 200k, 4 close quarters and a dozen or so torp hits with way too many fires. I liked that shima. He was fun.

To be fair to the Mogadore, with as much health as he had when the enemy destroyer died, assuming he would've gotten hit at least once by the cruiser before he could get behind cover or go undetected, he wouldn't have been left with any options for the rest of the game anyways. Pommern's turtleback is angled differently if I am not mistaken which leads to the main and most important point in the Pommern. because she not "slow", when you are turning "mostly in to defend from inc shots" PAY ATTENTION to the ships heel. The tutleback angle being different leads to shells being able to punch through you.
