Here is a video after we have rewired and reconfigured the main boiler wiring centre and added temperature sensors so that we can see how the system is behaving.
Its quite logical when you understand how a heating system works to wire it and configure it within the smart home system.
Data can be collected such as running times how long heat takes to reach arrears and zones on the system, it also helps to know how long hot water takes to recuperate from set low temperatures.
The cylinder was also connected but as a digital input to prevent over heating should a temperature sensor fail or be disconnected inadvertently.
The secondary circulating pump was connected through various sensors to make it most efficient and to stop it stealing hot water from the cylinder and dissipating the heat through the pipework when no one is home to need instant hot water.
We also added manually operated control and isolation for plumbers who may need to service the system but are either not confident on isolating the smart system or need to test outputs, this is done by creating a user within the system that allows third parties to access the system and only access aspects of the plumbing such as heating controllers and hardware.
Fused spurs are installed to allow safe isolation of pumps, port valves and the boiler for servicing.
I MADE A MISTAKE WHEN I SAID THAT IN THE AUMMER THE PIPE WOULD FREEZE I MEANT TO SAY THE WINTER IF SOMEONE RUNS THE AIR CONDITIONING IT WILL COOL THAT AREA AND CAUSE A COLD POCKET.
