I feel like people are missing the best joke: When Boimler is sucked from 2D cartoon into live action & his first words are "You guys look... very realistic"
@astrofan19939 ай бұрын
And at the end of the episode, the inverse of that joke was when they all had Orion Hurricanes with real Orion delaq, and Uhura asked why everything felt two-dimensional (they all were 2D-animated in the style of Lower Decks at the very end, implied to be a result of the Orion delaq).

It will be a bit of a walk, but not too far. (as the landing party enters the pad) Listien, Beckett. If you ever have the time- Mariner trying to ignore her: Energize. Jennifer understood it was not the time: Sure. (beams them down) 1:30 The landing party beams down Rutherford: Portal location is that way. the party walks to the location of the portal Tendi: Your still not talking to Jen? Mariner: Nope. Boimler: Mariner, you have to talk to her. Mariner: Look, I don't want her giving me any ideas of us ever getting back together. I mean, she broke my heart guys. When that Bitch Nuze wrote that Bull$#!^ article about me and the Cerritos, Jen turned her back on me like everyone else when I needed her the most. Tendi: We didn't turn ours backs on you. We knew what Nuze said about you wasn't true. Mariner: Yeah, but you guys are my friends and Jen was someone who I loved. I gave her my heart, and she threw it back my face. I will never go through that with her again. Boimler: Look Mariner, we're sorry that Jen hurt you. We really are. But that doesn't mean you should go back to hating each other. Have you forgotten that she saved your life on that debris field when we went to save the Archimedes and the Lapeerian? Mariner: Yeah, I remember. Boimler: All we're saying is if you don't wanna go back to dating Jen, fine. But maybe you should just try to be friends. Mariner sighs: Will see. (the party made it to the portal) Okay. The ancient inactive thingy iiiiissss right over there. Let's go make sure it's still not doing anything.

I've just recently started wondering something. Why is it a time portal can only connect with itself to time travel. The same thing happened with the 3rd TMNT movie that time device connected with itself in the past. The Guardian of Forever is said to be older than the solar system. Some believe the Guardian is advanced enough it should be able to send you to another universe including one you never dreamed of. You'd figure that two different time machines working on the same or similar principal for time travel would connect.

Oh dear God Palpatine would have every Star Destroyer and Bounty Hunter in the galaxy hunting down the Cerritos. The technology on that ship would revolutionize Palpatine's war machine, especially transporters, in Star Wars that tech is a fairytale, there was literally a galaxy spanning empire that completely destroyed themselves and all of their teleportation technology solely because it was far too dangerous to let fall into the wrong hands.

Am i the only one that feels the landscape looks fake in the live action part?
@cami_ille7 ай бұрын
It's because they're using the Volume tech for background: basically a giant circular screen that can show 3d assets like sky and background in camera instead of filming them on greenscreen and then compositing in that background later. Think of it like a curved giant TV screen. You can sometimes tell if you look at where the ground with the real props seems to stop and the Volume begins.
