Bollinger Bands Squeeze | Day Trading | Swing Trading | Technical Analysis

Ive been quite successfully catching explosive moves against the trend and the beginning on a new trend in fact. Concurring cycles with mom wave 2 off a relative bottom or top in the bands against the trend 1st TP 15ema 2nd 50sma 3rd 200ma. This setup has been one of my favorite in choppy or not quite trending conditions ❤ Dr. Barry is the GOAT !

This is really helpful since I had cases in the past where squeezes appeared to have fired in one direction yet switched its direction after firing and didn't know why that happened. Great lesson Barry! Im wondering,. Would you still take these fades or reversal trades if the wave count was say wave 7 or greater?? Seems more risky and probable it could be actually be a reversal when in an extended trend. You teach to take only 1st and 2nd retraces so im wondering.

Of course once the breakout happens *implied volatility* in options goes up immediately dramatically and premiums jump up.. A lot of the money you make trading squeezes is from the rise in IV. So im thinking the breakout trade should always be taken even against the trend,, merely as a volatility trade.

There are indeed ways to do that with pure volatility, non-directional, option strategies.
