Eh, I didn't mean to undermine Molly. I mean, she's obviously unfamiliar with the show unlike Carla, and with how often Babish came to BA they should be familiar enough to tease each other. Chaotic doesn't always mean bad thing y'know, it's just chaotic.
@msmiami2124 жыл бұрын
kbender87 - I’m gonna help you (and a few others) out with the subtext. Babish who’s a successful and competent food host should be able to put up with a little teasing as to his ‘lack of skill’ by a pro chef. This is amusing to watch because a lack of skill on his part is a ridiculous assumption. Molly clearly considers him a noble competitor and throws him an obstacle course with a sprinkle of snide remarks to test her theory. Babish prevails, mutual respect is shared. In summary, listen to 10:27 .

Molly fell for the trap that Binging WIth Babish sets in believing he could handle a challenging recipe. Andrew said sometime in a Q&A that he doesn't consider himself a necessarily good cook, he just takes his time and knows how to make things look good on camera. He can cook food, yes, but the videos we see are likely after many attempts of testing and experimenting. This was his first time with an unfamiliar and weird (by behaviour if nothing else) ingredient and some techniques he would usually use a machine for.
