Goes on sale at Cdn Tire quite often, used to anyway. I've used it a few times, putting rearview mirror on a windshield as an example

You cannot use it as a glue per say in the push 2 pieces together sense. Did you just run the product around the edges and then shine the light around the edges?

Hmmm… was looking at using Bondic to repair a plastic cross-over bar on a pair of headphones (a plastic bar that crosses over the head with speakers on both sides). It was broken by the stress of putting them on and pulling them off. Would the Gorilla Glue would handle that stress?

Let me say you cannot use Bondic like a normal glue meaning put it on one piece and hold it to another piece and they stay together it just doesn’t work that way. You might want to experiment with it. I find it is more of a welding and buikd up material. If you can bridge pieces together and use it as a bridging material or welding material it does work but you cannot do standard gluing as in Aircraft Models glue or Elmers white glue methods. Now that I’ve had this stuff for a while I use it differently than what I envisioned. I fill holes with it And I use it between 90° joins to form a bead to hold things together and in that scenario the stuff is pretty strong. Good luck and hopefully you’ll find it does work for you in some capacity or another.

@@JetFlix Technically that wasn't a weld; you ran a bead along two base edges that relied on the bond between the plastic and the glue. I used to use Airfix glue for modelling which is polystyrene cement; this glue will melt the plastic if you put too much on, so is closer to being what a weld is in metal. If you've ever tried a fillet weld in mild steel you'll know what I mean; the two pieces of steel are melted into the filler pool so the three components become one. For whatever reason that glue didn't bond with the plastic at all, but I'd like to see more tests to determine if the product is flawed. Personally I'd have run a bead along the base edge of the plastic before placing it onto the 'base', or run a bead on the base and immersed the other piece into it, but that's just me. Interesting result though.

Great review Jeff. Shows they're exuberant advertising is all bs. Gorilla glue remains numero uno 👍

What I have learned is this is not a glue at all. It is a filler product. It’s used to add material if missing. So you can build out damaged and missing parts of items … it is not glue.

No offense but mind your business on that matter because i am tired of people defending gorilla glue. It is horrible and smarten up please. As on for the product at hand, it is correct that it is a filler not a glue product. I have it but have not found a reason to use it yet. I am skeptical of the LED and that could be a gimmick.

In all fairness to Bondic .. their product is not a glue. It is a filling compound. I did not realize that from their marketing.

The Bondic is very expensive and it’s not the best quality. I think much lower cost UV resin on Amazon does just as good as job at a fraction of the cost.

Yeah it’s a curious product actually. I’ve learned it’s not a glue. It’s more of a sealing agent that hardens very quickly so I can use it for building things out such as filling cracks and adding material. If something has chipped away it is forvthat. I purchased it as a glue, which was incorrect, so you have to have a specific need for what this product can do I guess. For glue I find the super glue products are quite useful for aircraft model building, which is what I do. I recommend Bob Smith Industries range of super glues available at most hobby shops.
