I left NC after I left a bad marriage at 19 years old.. left and traveled the world and had a great career. 40 years here I am back in Eastern North Carolina and I could not find this song anywhere! The lyrics came in bits and pieces over the past month since getting back and now that I found it I can now use your words to tell everyone that no matter where I went there was nothing like coming home... THANK YOU!!!

Well, depends on your definition of “rock” and the era that it’s in. Jerry Lee Lewis had several country number 1s and is considered by most to be a “rock” artist. And in 2004, Uncle Kracker and Jimmy Buffett both had number one country songs.

When I was a little kid, Mom and Dad typically had the car radio set to a country station, so I listened to a lot of 2000's country music. This was always one of my favorites. I didn't really understand the meaning behind the song back then, being only about 7, but I liked how it sounded. I'm an adult now, and sometimes I hear this song on the radio at work. It always makes me feel a bit better. A little lighter and happier. Sometimes I'll even hum or sing along while remembering those carefree days.

Wanting One Angel They’re all wonderful human beings Jennifer also helped to build a state of the art hospital w/an amazing emergency surgery unit that’s as good as in the states in Guatemala 🇬🇹 and there’s a nice school attached. Amazing Doctors from all over come to donate their magnificent skills to help these children that are so in need. They also build homes for the one in need as well, and they never brag except to express how much help us needed from others who can help. It doesn’t matter if it’s here in the USA 🇺🇸 or other countries that are undeveloped, it’s just a matter of given a dollar or five just whatever you can. They encourage you to chose a charity close to your heart no matter where is located because help is always needed. Just a group of truly caring individuals and that’s what is going to help others, never put the spot light on you but always make sure the focus is the people in need. It’s truly wonderful what great kind individuals can do when they come together for a common humanity goal.

He's a multi millionaire rock star, but unlike other rock stars or musicians for that matter, he doesn't want it all for himself, he always finds a way to give back to his people and help others. He's so kindhearted and genuine. Sincere, honest, genuine, kindhearted people are very rare and hard to find these days, so God bless Bon Jovi and all he done to help others!❤️

This song, their voices, absolutely stunning. As for going home, if you ever find yourself questioning if you should, you should. If you have to think about the last time you visited, it's been too long and you need to do it now. Time slips by faster than you can keep track of it. Who says you can't go home? Only you and time. If you keep yourself away too long you'll find that time has made it impossible, only ghosts and empty spaces will remain. Trust me on this.

This is such a touching song to me, because it shows complete strangers working together as a family, and I absolutely love this. I volunteered to help out last year during the California wildfire in 2018 and people were coming all around and donating many different things, but the thing that really got me was the show out of volunteer's like me, I thought maybe 30 people at most would come to help out, but I was surprised to find 200 people showed up and even more people donated truck loads of stuff, I showed up a little bit after 12 and the line of vehicles to donate was so long that they had to close part of the streets and the donation center was supposed to close at 3 but because of the line of cars and vehicles kept pulling up they didn't shut down until after I left

that was probably because the 2017 wildfires were still fresh for everyone in the area and they were doing what they could to help despite rebuilding themselves. I survived the 2017 wildfires from Santa Rosa Ca. I lost everything I'd ever owned but gained more than I had lost through the generosity of strangers I had never met. my life today is so much different than it was 6 years ago and I am thankful for it as I wasn't in a good place before the fires and it got worse for a while after the fires but then it all changed and things have gotten much better.

So happy for Bon Jovi and Jennifer Nettles (especially Bon Jovi being this was a dream come true to have a major country hit) and it was and is still an amazing song that just makes people happy 😃!!!!!! Sugarland with both Jennifer Nettles and Kristian Bush (who are still together and a big sold out tour had to canceled because of Covid b.s.) this would have been their second year back touring and releasing new music!!!!!! They of course went on to have massive success as well with 7 #1 hits and one #1 on the pop charts, they also won 4 more Grammys and multiple CMA’s and ACM Awards. Sold millions (4 albums that went Single, double and triple Platinum) and when most music were mainly purchased though iTunes, Spotify....etc and they also sold millions and millions on streaming too!!!!!!

Blew my own mind looking up Bon Jovi's discography and finding this piece from my childhood. Growing up mostly listening to country music, I had no idea such a rock legend was part of this song.

I grew up in St. Louis, Mo. and I lived in the same house from 1971 until the early 2000’s. I was so fortunate to know what home was/is. I married a “military brat” who had no idea of the concept of what “Home” is. I felt so sad for her. Military kids’ homes are wherever their parents are stationed. It’s a different life altogether. We have been together almost 31 years, and for us, home is where we are together. We have 4 great kids and when we are all together, “Home” becomes a spiritual place instead of a physical place. I absolutely LOVE this song and video!!

So I was in my room playing guitar tryna write a new song - and I just started strumming some chords - and a few of the jumbled up lyrics fell into place and I basically uncovered a memory I didn't know I had. This song obviously holds a beautiful place in my heart.

Tammy Block You’re absolutely correct and it’s why Bon Jovi and Jennifer Nettles won GRAMMY’S for BEST COUNTRY COLLABORATION THAT YEAR!!!!!!! It’s just a great, heart felt and total feel good song!!!!!!! It makes me happy and smile every time I hear it or come back to watch the music video. Jon’s brother actually filmed the video and it’s goes perfectly with the whole vibe, meaning and feeling of the song!!!!!!!

"Who Says You Can't Go Home" (duet with Bon Jovi) I spent twenty years tryin' to get outta this place. I was lookin' for somethin' I couldn't replace. I was runnin' away from the only thing I've ever known. Like a blind dog without a bone, I was a gypsy lost in the twilight zone. I hi-jacked a rainbow and crashed into a pot of gold. I been there, done that, I ain't looking back on the seeds I've sown. Savin' dimes spendin' too much time on the telephone. Who says you can't go home? Who says you can't go home? There's only one place they call me one of their own. Just a hometown boy born a rollin' stone. Who says you can't go home? Who says you can't go back? I been all around the world and as a matter of fact, There's only one place left I wanna go. Who says you can't go home? It's alright, it's alright, it's alright, It's alright, it's alright. I went as far as I could, tried to find a new face. There isn't one of these lines that I would erase. Lived a million miles of memories on that road. With every step I take I know that I'm not alone: You take the home from the boy, But not the boy from his home. These are my streets, the only life I've ever known: Who says you can't go home? Who says you can't go home? There's only one place they call me one of their own. Just a hometown boy born a rollin' stone. Who says you can't go home? Who says you can't go back? Been all around the world and as a matter of fact, There's only one place left I wanna go. Who says you can't go home? It's alright, it's alright, it's alright, It's alright, it's alright. It doesn't matter where you are; It doesn't matter where you go; If it's a million miles away, Or just a mile up the road: Take it in, take it with you when you go. Who says you can't go home? Who says you can't go back? Been all around the world and as a matter of fact, There's only one place left I wanna go. Who says you can't go home? It's alright, it's alright, it's alright, It's alright, it's alright. Who says you can't go home? It's alright, it's alright, it's alright, It's alright, it's alright. Who says you can't go home? It's alright, it's alright, it's alright, It's alright, it's alright. Who says you can't go home?

You must know this about me, to understand where, when and how I grew up: Born in Seattle in 1973, where I grew up. Japanese-American. Listening to this song, takes me back to happier, care free days, even into my 20s. I have long thought that I'd live to be 48, and pass away in 2021. My Dad unexpectedly passed away in 2003, and life hasn't been as happy for me ever since. I want my funeral to be "music based." Songs from the 80s, nursery songs, Christmas songs, TV theme songs, commercial songs, Japanese kid songs, video game music, sports themes (like NBA on CBS). If I'm indeed in the final year or two of my life, this song is one of the memories that I will cherish, during the time that I have remaining.

In 2009, the Philippines was devastated by Typhoon Pepeng and destroyed many lives including houses. I was a volunteer at the Philippine Red Cross Benguet Chapter. Also a part of the housing project where we help built houses for those families and individuals whose houses were totally destroyed and repair kits for the partially destroyed houses that can still be prepared. Every Saturday night after a week-long of building houses, this song was our first and main karaoke jam and unofficial team song of our group "The Philippine Red Cross Housing Project Volunteers".
