When the branch can hold the position. Timeline will depend on the species of the bonsai and the thickness of the branch.

+Steve Hise Depends on how fast the branches thickens and the wires starts to bite into the branches. In about 3 to 4 months.

Lalchhanhimi Ralte both are good material but generally small leave pink pixie is preferred.
