The shaving cream kill remains me of the lady who got killed by the bathroom mirror tapping her on the head! Surprised Phelous didn't bring it up! Also the light ladder tap & tailpipe fellatio scene is kinda like the car door tap & spike makeout scene! At least, the mirror shard's bad kills are somewhat consistent! Also a slasher killer electric toothbrush 🪥 actually sounds pretty good!

I feel like Lommel turned down studio involvement and did Stock Footage Hell because he was afraid big studios would "ruin" Boogeyman 1 by adding onto the lore with ridiculous asspulls and cheapen the value of his work ala Nightmare on Elm Street's sequels which turned Freddy into a straight up Lethal Joke Character... with Pop Culture mostly remembering the Freddy's Dead take (YOU FORGOT THE POWER GLOVE!) as opposed to the original (I'm your boyfriend now Nancy!), And further "protected" his movie by trying to make sure the sequels were made were hard to find aside from versions edited to include EVEN MORE stock footage. But.... the problem with Lommel's logic is this is like being in high school and trying to stop the bully from stealing your lunch by shitting yourself while holding your lunchbox behind you. You might successfully prevent the theft, but you don't exactly come out looking like Wes Craven

Honestly, the ending sequence you guys did was scarier and more entertaining than the entire movie. Was this movie Lommel's idea of an "art film" or something? Everything is so dark and doesn't make any sense, especially the ending sequence with him.

Haven't seen the film, but by this review it is a satire of film industry exploiting traumatic events to entertain people. In Irony, Lommel did it again only without the studio help. Possibly why the redux was done. That or Lommel was really embarrassed of how the film turned out.

I can really see why the director preferred the first movie so much. The sequels are really pointless (especially the "special edition" which, well, he has nobody to blame but himself for that noise) and this one's story basically requires the protagonist of the first one needlessly holding onto something that ends up causing all the deaths of this film. Not only does the setup make no sense but she's essentially solely responsible for all deaths in this film. Though why the director thinks that the first Boogeyman film is such a masterpiece, I have no clue...

Worst director's cut ever. At least others had extended, alternative or extra scenes, and not practically a behind the scenes and "the making of" commentary. That you would find in bonus features of a original release. It's terrible just terrible, it's a terrible movie, I was expecting a sequel that's not really a sequel not being part of the first one basically ignoring the part with the Shard of the mirror being left behind, not like this, not like a behind the scenes bull crap.
