I love the idea of Grumpy/Sunshine being F/M instead! I just started the 2nd book of the Veronica Speedwell series and immediately thought it of for that trope. Although she isn't necessarily super sunshine-y, Stoker is a super grump and she pokes fun at him all the time and they absolutely crack me up. There's also a fake marriage trope in the first one! I'm really loving the series so far!

My current favorite tropes are good/bad omens, main character who doesn't speak, and Christian man vs. women with nature-based religion or magic (similar to Esmeralda and Frollo in Hunchback of Notre Dame, or the main character and the preacher in the Winternight trilogy).

One trope I enjoy is when the main character starts new life. It could be because they've had enough of a horrible situation and decided to escape and take control or when misfortune befalls them and their whole life is uprooted.

I would love more recomendations of books with fairies, both real or imagined within the book, like You Let Me In. Not children's or ya books tho. Dark and scary fairies, more similiar to the ones in folklore, and with no romance between humans and fae.
