That's super interesting because while obviously I knew The Lonely Island as a kid, this song completely missed me somehow. But I was a big Beatles fan, then my friend introduced me to Arctic Monkeys, and then I obviously went onto become a big Strokes fan. THEN, I realised Boombox existed lmao

@@jimmysgarage9068 if you listen to the strokes you can hear that in some tracks he shows off his vocal range and it's pretty good! I agree with the fact that it ain't nothing too out of the ordinary but it's still above average by a good margin in my opinion

@@jimmysgarage9068 He likes the sound of a higher-pitched voice, so that's where he mostly sings. It's a shame, though, because he has a fabulously rich, resonate baritone that we rarely get to hear. What do you consider an average range? I'd say it's about 2.5 octaves (among people in general, not professional singers), and Julian exceeds that.

I even pointed out it was a "joke song". It's SNL, obvously a comedic choice to overdue the auto-tune. There's plenty of evidence in videos all over KZbin to back me up, claiming "His vocal range is insane." IT IS. -

As a kid I've heard many of their songs like I just had sex but didn't know their name. Now years later I've started watching Brooklyn 99 and became a big fan of Andy. It took me some days before i realized that he's part of TLI... Now i can't stop hearing their songs🙏🏼🙏🏼
