Really useful video! How were you able to set up alfred so that it auto-logged in @5:57 when you typed convertkit? I'm only able to open the page using the 1bookmark feature at the moment.

Good question. This is part of the 1Password integration. So it requires that you have your logins stored in 1Password first, then you can easily login to different accounts from Alfred.

@@minor-co Thanks Paul. That was all set up as well. All I needed to do was untick "Show in default results without keyword." Also, I've read that it auto logs in with most but not all websites. Just in case anyone else is wondering why it doesn't seem to be working.

The clipborad history is not a safety issue because it will save password we use?

If you are manually copying them, then yes. But if you use a password manager like 1Password, when you use a password it does not get saved to your clipboard history.

It's a fantastic tool, but for some reason the UI you have of the app is so much different from the one I just downloaded. The one I just got is really dumb and the design is really really really bad and looks old and everything is big which really hurts my eyes when tried it for the first time. I tried the theme options but it's the same. I'm using Big Sur. Is there anything I can do to get the same UI you're having of the app on your device?

I downloaded and installed Alfred 4, and now I cannot find any files on the computer. It just displays the 3 web search options. Should I be disabling Spotlight? Any suggestions? Thanks.

In your preferences, under 'Features » File Search' check that you have file search enabled.

Yes, there is a difference between Alfred downloaded from the app store and from the actual developer website. I did the same thing. Once you download it from the developer website you will get the version we are all raving about.

Thanks Chris, good video, would you say this is worth £25 though? I've downloaded the free version which is very similar in capabilities to Spotlight, so not sure if Alfred is worth it. What is the difference between the £25 and the £45 packages and which package are the features you are showing part of? And last, is it a one-off payment or is it yearly/monthly, etc. ? I believe it's an annual payment and it's well worth it for me for some of the more advanced features that I show here. But start with the free and if you find yourself wanting to do more, just upgrade when you're ready.

Unlike the video poster here, I won't be doing searches "hundreds of times a day"...so I don't need or want something this complex...I just want a search window that is as simple as Spotlight but with the ability to make the search window wider.
