###!!! Update Jan-23-2022 !!!### Some people have reported Azure free credit is no longer supporting Helium traffic. However, you could still use the pay-as-you-go Azure subscription. Or you can use other cloud providers such as AWS, Digital Ocean, etc. The concept is the same.
!!!!FIXED: After some investigation, I found a mistake in my video guide that's causing port checker showing 44158 is closed and the Helium Miner is replayed. Here is the fix: On the router firewall page, External zone will stay as OVPN, but change internal zone to LAN. This will fix the problem and u should be able to verify it with port checker.
!!!UPDATE: some people are having issue showing that 10.10.100.2 ip after connecting to the VPN profile. Instead it shows 172.XXXXXXX. In this case, restart your VM and reconnect your VPN profile. This should fix it.

Some commands we used:
To portforward on the server:
sudo iptables -t nat -I PREROUTING -i eth0 -p tcp -m tcp --dport 44158 -j DNAT --to-destination 10.10.100.2:44158
sudo iptables -F
To make sure the iptables rules don't reset: (This may or may no break it. you don't have to use this.)
sudo apt install iptables-persistent
Then run sudo iptables -L -n -t nat to confirm you see a routing to 10.10.100.2:44158
If this doesn't work, restart the VM and re run:
sudo iptables -t nat -I PREROUTING -i eth0 -p tcp -m tcp --dport 44158 -j DNAT --to-destination 10.10.100.2:44158
sudo iptables -F
sudo apt install iptables-persistent

This works, I bought the smaller and cheaper version of this router called the mango, setup the azure virtual machine with openvpn, put it all together and I'm now making money on two units. An absolutely amazing and to the point tutorial.

So I have my first helium miner connected to my at&t isp router and have already done the port forwarding for the 44158. I would leave everything I’ve done with that miner alone and these steps would only be for the second helium miner correct? Thanks!
