When are we discussing the enormous risks of natural infection published in Nature on Feb 7, 2022? Dr. Prasad won't be touching it is my guess. For the unfamiliar 150,000 U.S. veterans after a year of natural immunity (infected before the vaccines) demonstrated a 72% increased risk of heart failure, 63% increased risk of heart attack, 52% increased risk of stroke. A severe case of covid was NOT necessary for these heart risks. If a physician has any hesitancy covering the risks of "natural immunity (all immunity is natural btw), then that physician needs a reality check in a hurry. These KZbin physicians have been dancing around the risks of natural infection and sugarcoating the risks for too long. According to the researches at Washington University in St. Louis they are investigating whether covid infection is damaging the nerve fibers that regulate heart and lung function. If we're getting increased heart risks like this only one year out of the gate for "natural immunity" then doctors need to be shouting from the rooftops about these risks. kzbin.info/www/bejne/h3SqeImZnbhkrZI

Are you also here like me waiting for these two doctors to make videos regarding the 150,000 veterans with natural immunity for at least one year who have demonstrated 72% higher risk of heart failure. 63% higher risk of heart attack. 52% higher risk of stroke according to Washington University in St. Louis who just published their findings in Nature? Any physician at this point who utters the words "natural immunity" without mentioning the cardiovascular risks of subjecting the nerve fibers of vital organs to natural infection is violating their ethical oaths as doctors. Don't hold your breath for an in depth review by Dr. Prasad MD MPH or Phd Dr. Campbell on these findings. And what is most important to keep in mind is that a severe covid infection was NOT necessary to have increased heart complication risks only one year into the supposedly "superior natural immunity". Superior at exposing you to more covid antigen that's for sure.

Many higher income bracket parents are the ones who are opting out. Those who can afford to send their kids to private schools that don’t require them. Public schools do… I know someone who became very successful and as her circle of friends began to include people living in Silcone Valley in multi million dollar homes, she was surprised by how many moms were not getting some or even all of the _____ for their kids. She told me when the media goes on a tirade about a random case of measles or polio in someone unvaccinated what they often fail to mention is this person was here illegally from another country where that disease is endemic. It didn’t happen from an American unvaccinated child. Seriously! If it did, where did they catch it from? Think about it. Makes sense. I’m even skeptical now about all the _____ we are giving animals/pets. Both of my dogs are allergic to proteins. Dogs that can’t eat meat is not normal! That’s a major problem with their immune system.

First time on hearing your joint podcast though I’ve watched both your individual KZbin channels. Good to hear you are giving yourself permission to express what a third of the worlds population has been feeling since the end of 2020. For many of us that’s been based on following continuing medical science as it tracks the changes in SARS COV2 and its effect on our bodies. It would surprise me to hear that you two are not following channels like Merogenomics, Peak Prosperity and Thinking Slow, but I guess not. As you’ve both admitted to your vaccination would it not be prudent (out of self interest but also out of the opportunity to keep your patients and followers informed) to watch carefully for the safety signals that are already appearing? The risk of life shortening (should it be an effect that is discovered) would be an even stronger argument not to apply RNA/DNA therapy to younger healthy people with good vitamin D status. Keep up the good work please 😊

Great discussion! Let me add the COVID hospitalization data is misleading at best. Anybody admitted to the hospital is tested for COVID. When tested positive upon admission to the hospital the case is counted as "COVID hospitalization". This can explain relatively high number of hospitalized kids during Omicron wave. The issue is that in LA for example at some point almost 25% of tested were positive. If we take this rough estimate we should have seen 1 in 4 patient admitted during the peak week tested positive to COVID regardless of the original reason of hospitalization. There is a great analysis of insurance claims data showing that about 30-40% of these hospitalizations during Delta and original variant waves were unrelated to COVID. The percentage of unrelated hospitalizations should be higher now when we have highly infectious and less virulent variant. Death data has the same problem and it is all over US.

"As of 6 February 2022, based on publicly available official UK and US data, all age groups under 50 years old are at greater risk of fatality after receiving a COVID-19 inoculation than an unvaccinated person is at risk of a COVID-19 death. All age groups under 80 years old have virtually no benefit from receiving a COVID-19 inoculation, and the younger ages incur significant risk." From the Abstract of pre-print

Vinay if i'm right, one of the reasons Rogan went to spotify was due to being censored on youtube. I think the money was just a bonus. Seems like platform censorship is the "in" thing these days. You boys are great, keep up the good work.

Wow! This is seriously the best podcast I have listened to in months. Thank you both for your courage in speaking out about what you believe regardless of the vitriol I’m sure you receive from both sides. As one who also seeks a middle perspective I find this channel to be one of my key sources of information. Thank you!

Ive always said this.. schools in US closing randomly because teachers are too scared to go to work. But yet, the same students would not go to school and yet go to daycare in the same facility. So, under paid daycare workers are expendable...? If you as a teacher are too afraid to go to work because of Covid then pick a different profession. Walmart workers see hundreds people daily and HAVE to go to work and dont have a choice.

I'm a pediatrician in the rural deep south. It's astounding to me how different the perspective is with parents here and covid attitudes about kids (vaccine and infection) relative to what you describe in California. It's like 2 different worlds. My position on vaccines mirrors yours, and I've had NO parents upset with me for that, not a single one. I've had over a thousand pediatric patient encounters since the EOA in kids and not one upset parent. The general population is disturbingly prone to group think

Thanks another enjoyable and poignant segment. Common sense left most if healthcare long ago. Primary care by checklist included. As a public health nurse, I feel your pain. Nothing done in the last years followed any public health and infection prevention rules that I learned. Hope we can get through this. The adverse effects on our children are likely irreversible. As well as us disgruntled health care workers!

I heard someone describing himself in pristine health and does epidemiology for a living, that supreme confidence to be sure of what should be done to his body! A lot of people feel that way all the time wisely or not. I am not that confident about my own health, don't have a medical degree, when faced with highly qualified doctors of opposing views, I don't know whom to listen to. Sometimes I dislike someone too sure of himself.

I have 5 grandkids under 5 years old. Their parents are looking forward to getting them vaccinated, which is totally fine. One of these kids is 4 and will be 5 in April. My question is, what is the CDC (or others) recommending for kids this age? If this vaccine is approved for these young kids, what is an almost 5 year old supposed to do? What happens when she turns 5? Is the lower strength good enough? Will she need to get "boosted" at the older kid level? I guess this is the same question I have for 11 year old kids who turn 12. With that said, I hope this becomes a non-issue quickly, but I don't anticipate that. Anyway, I'd appreciate your most objective thoughts about this.

Also, as a teacher, (who is frustrated and confused about the masks in schools) one thing I have noticed is the result of spending a full year with masked kids when I suddenly see their faces. It is so unsettling -- like my brain has already decided what their face looks like under that mask. The response is one of revulsion -- despite loving the cute little preteens I teach! Meeting someone with a mask on, and developing a relationship with them, is messing with my brain. It is not the same as seeing someone in a mask who I already know, or who I will only see during my dr appointment. I wish someone would focus on that instead of the "hard to breathe" argument. Imagine voting for a candidate whose complete face you have never seen. There is a reason they are unmasked in those photos! Brain science??
