Wasn’t there a direct link between deaths during Covid and vitamin D deficiency? I know I’ve seen something along those lines and to be honest it would make sense with the possibility of higher age being more likely to die of Covid. You go into long term care and find patients who only see sunlight on the TV. You hit the possibility of supplementing Vitamin D which is important for the immune system. True there are no randomized trials on this but there is also no capital incentives to do these studies and vitamin D supplements are not expensive. Capitalism at work.

"If we were on the contrarian side we would be telling you not to get vaccinated" Then you have failed in the nuance of your message and only gone further to line the pockets of Fauci-pfarma and are now complicit to the crime of the century. Now if you had said. "we a criminals if we told any one NOT in an age stratified risk category, anyone who has NO histroy of known risk factors to get vaccinated"; Then that is a fair comment. You would be contrarian if you suggested anyone with prior infection should get vaccinated. Again you would be criminal if you suggested anyone with prior infection MUST on THREAT OF EXCLUSION FROM THE WORK PLACE OR EXCLUSION FROM PUBLIC VENUES, MUST be vaccinated. AND YOU WOULD BE CRIMINAL IF YOU DID NOT HAVE, BY NOW, in 2022, A FOOL PROOF SURE FIRE WAY OF DETECTING PRIOR INFECTION IN PEOPLE, other than a PCR whilst infected, other than the very limited IgG and IgM serum, something more akin to IgA and t- cell analysis. That you have not developed this form of personalized medicine to Prove or negate the need for a vaccine based on the survival of a prior infection makes you criminal.

Here is my biggest complaint about the Ivermectin issue. According to doctors, this drug has no real history of bad drug interactions or reactions. If this is the case, then why wouldn't you go ahead and give it out? Even if it only help 14% of the population that is still 14% that gets to go home. Why not try everything possible? Edited for grammar.

Tylenol is pretty effective, however it may or may not reduce your fever or pain. I’ve given it to my kids and had times were their fever responded, and times where it didn’t. Works differently in everyone and depends on the severity of your health symptoms & yet many doctors & hospitals recommend and administer it, despite having potential side effects. Yet Ivm, with a well known, well tolerated safety profile was off limits. During a “novel” pandemic when they were flying blind in the dark. It just doesn’t add up. Especially when Remdesivir is under EUA & failed the Ebola drug trials. Tylenol side effects may include, Bloody or black, tarry stools bloody or cloudy urine fever with or without chills (not present before treatment and not caused by the condition being treated) pain in the lower back and/or side (severe and/or sharp) pinpoint red spots on the skin skin rash, hives, or itching sore throat (not present before treatment and not caused by the condition being treated) sores, ulcers, or white spots on the lips or in the mouth sudden decrease in the amount of urine unusual bleeding or bruising unusual tiredness or weakness yellow eyes or skin

Honestly, disappointed in Prasad's lack of serious analysis of ivermectin. Yes the burden of proof has not been met, but this discussion seems to ridicule, rather than honestly evaluate the situation. While Prasad is KEENLY critical of other flawed studies, he seems to ride-off flawed ivermectin studies as fitting for some reason.

Overall, the Together Trial does not support IVM as treatment for CVD-19. That said, there are a few issues that could use clarification that I haven't seen discussed much elsewhere: 1. What was the distribution of BMI? In the protocol they sate that they capped the IVM dose at 32 mg for those >80Kg .That means anyone substantially over 80Kg is not getting the specified dose of 400ug/kg. This is interesting because in the supplemental analyses, those 50 yrs group - which is vastly smaller than the ratio of adverse CVD-19 events due to age in the general population. Is this due to the older participants being more representative of CVD-19 outcome susceptibility than the younger group? We can't tell. But it's not so remote of a possibility given the subgroup finding. One might expect a treatment that prevents CVD-19 adverse outcomes to be more effective in the older population who is generally more prone.

Big Pharma is especially interested in making the next generation paranoid so they will buy more medicine and kids can't vote against them so they are an easy target. Inslee finally dropped the adult mask mandate I think he realized democrats don't have a chance in the next election if the mandate remains in place although he should have realized that months ago and the damage has already been done. The other day I saw a father and son wearing cloth masks outdoors and I felt pretty bad because 1) cloth masks are almost useless 2) The father is making the kid more afraid than the kid needs to be, the kids COVID risk is extremely low 3) the father is teaching his kid to listen to corrupt institutions/ignore science. Maybe the kid chose to wear the mask but I doubt it, very few kids would choose to wear a mask.

Killer combo, Vinay, I watch all of your video and I share them on Twitter all the time. I earned my MPH in epi/PH admin in 2010, published twice, but jumped into being an attorney since 2013 and always missed it. It’s frustrating that people are not able to understand studies, and it seems like they need to be told. We are inundated with dubious (at best!) study techniques. The last on in the MMWR had no disclosure of conflicts - so they aren’t employed doctors? It’s so frustrating. I don’t remember one instance or hint of ulterior motive in my four years earning my MPH. We picked apart many studies, criticized bias that wasn’t discussed in publications, and explored the reasons to always strive for double blind studies with a hearty control group. Has science departed forever from being trustworthy? How do we return or re-birth a system of public health that Americans will ever trust again?

I would love to see these docs discuss the challenges to the Together Trial study, but also, it seems like people's opinion on Ivermectin also hinges on whether they believe the data sources in ivmmeta. I know there are criticisms of that site as well, but as a layperson, it all just looks like side-picking, and "there isn't enough data" is just "I don't believe the positive data and I do believe the negative data". If there's one thing COVID did for me, it's point out the dramatic subjectivity of some sciences.

Dr. Prasad does a great job evaluating studies. I have listened to people point out significant flaws in the most recent ivermectin study including incorrect dosage (much too low and isn't near the dosage the doctors who swear by it use), not given for long enough (heard it was only about a couple days, not the time period the doctors who prescribed it used either) not used as early treatment (given too late). Also, some doctors use in conjuction with supplements and claim that is how it works best and not alone. I'm confused as to why we wouldn't try to duplicate the treatment plan of the doctors who prescribe it. The study is a waste of time if we don't. Would love to know Dr. Prasad's thoughts on that. Personally, I swear by black tea to stop/prevent a full blown cold, but it only works on the first day of symptoms. It doesn't work if try it the next day. The time of day also matters and it works best if I eat clean once symptoms start. I have been doing it for years and it has worked every time I did it at the right time, with the right diet and the right tea. It literally doesn't work for me if i mess any of those things up. Also only works if I get a certain cold symptom first (so type of illness matters). This is why I believe the doctors who are pointing out the flaws aren't whining. Makes sense to do it right if you're going to look at it at all. Thanks.

I don't care if it's all placebo. Now I'm taking Vid D/zinc/qucertin daily. I'm not vaxxed nor have I had Covid & feel like I have as good of protection as the vax. Study based on an average BMI of 30, kg so if your exactly 60 kilos/132 lbs. you get the headline dose of 400 mcg/kg, but if your over 60 kilos you start getting less, and if your happen to be 120 kilos you’ll get half the dose 200 mcg/kg when the therapeutic standard is to give more with increased weight. They artificially introduced a weight limit when none exists in science to give as little as possible, and as short of time as possible. Half the people were getting less than the advertised dose. They give the IVM on an empty stomach when you get much higher concentrations with food, particularly fatty foods. Study was done during the Lambda and Gamma variants, insignificantly present in Europe and North America. There were no exclusion criteria for the control group if they had been or are taking IVM before study, at a time when the general public in Minas Brazil was using IVM in a massive adoption.

Doctors used to have people to handle all of their crap work. They were called nurses and they rounded with the doctors, fed them all of the data about the patients and then wrote all of the verbal orders and made sure those orders got carried out for the patient. Then we went to the EMR and doctors had to look up the data about their patient and enter their own orders. This also caused doctors to stop communication w nurses. And sometimes doctors stopped actually seeing the patient. No need to actually go see the patient, just treat the lab work or imaging tests. Open the EMR and treat patients from anywhere. Even from their phone on the golf course. Hospitals have gone to shit. Almost going back to the days when people went to the hospital to die. Cause if you are in a hospital you have a higher risk of dying and get lousy care while you do it. Healthcare, esp acute inpatient hospital care, has gone backwards in my opinion. Retired RN after 45 years. Mostly ICU/ ED. My nurses friends and I make promises to each other that if any of us are sick enough to need hospital care we will be there as the advocate cause patients need advocates to prevent someone from killing them inside the hospital.

@christopherpomory5437
@christopherpomory5437 2 жыл бұрын
Its a good analogy applied to the wrong situation. People were forced to take certain medical interventions (vaccines). If we have a potential alternative intervention with known symptoms (as mild as one could ask for in IVM), then no one should have to prove to anyone to take a medicine they want. Even if absolutely DOESNT work. If I want to prove to you Santa is real, yes, then the onus is on me. If I want to believe Santa, I have no obligation to prove anything to you. We, as a society, decided forcing new "vaccines" on people was the right decision. So right we could remove people from their jobs. Fine, but then we should certainly be able to choose to take IVM. ^ the point is that the criteria wasn't consistent.
@christopherpomory5437
@christopherpomory5437 2 жыл бұрын
More cogent version of the argument: how can the situation be so dire that we mandate individuals to take a new type of vaccine, but not dire enough to allow people to try an unproven, yet safe (about as safe a medical intervention one could ask for), treatment? ^ seems like inconsistent criteria.

The most succinct reason why the ivermectin study was a poor one is because ivermectin was not prescribed in the same manner as it was in clinical situations. Many vitamin D studies with statistically insignificant conclusions never even got a baseline vitamin D level on the participants. They also use anemic doses or bolus doses with incorrect intake intervals, which doesnt work as great because D3 is a hormone. There are scarce studies with D3 regarding HIV and most of those studies revolve around D3s impact on ART and not the virus itself. Many doctors are seeing success with ivermectin in clinical situations, so I dont see what the harm is. The vackseens are what have failed as far as interventions go. A 4th dose? Neve had to get 4 tetanus shots in one year. Insane

One thing you miss from the ivermectin argument is cost and risk. Any know low risk anti-viral, and, as with all these things there is the correlative data regional outcome data is as valuable as a choice data pharma study. Very odd on Vitamin D stance since there is strong data on this as a immune boosting where the patient has lower levels. Vitamin D is like rest and fluids. Less alcohol and sugar. To argue against suggesting basic low cost no risk supplements, even just in case, seems a bit OVER do the study 1st. Ideally those who use it will be part of one data set.

Alopecia sucks!! I lost my hair 29 years ago when I was 12 years old. It’s incredibly invalidating to compare alopecia to cancer, etc. Of course I am aware that things could be worse (although do I have other autoimmune issues), but to deny or discount the isolation and social rejection that comes with being a bald girl hurts a lot. It’s societal and medical gaslighting to say it’s no big deal. I don’t think you’d be discounting its bio/psycho/social impact nearly as much if it were your daughter/wife/sister/mother/etc experiencing it. Also, I’m not defending Jada. She seems pretty rotten at the personality level with or without alopecia.

You guys are young yet. You don’t need to eat heavy meals, but to skip most meals and eat but once a day is to lean heavily on your adrenals. Squeeze a lime over a bowl of papaya or watermelon for breakfast, have some bananas wrapped in Romaine lettuce with a few organic dates at some point in the day, then your full meal. Give your adrenals a break. Your body’s so adrenalized that you’re probably on a trajectory towards rapid aging. But you can change that. Having three meals and then three snacks between meals would be most ideal for the adrenals. Check out the information from Medical Medium. He’s saving lives.

Love your content generally but a little bit of gaslighting… most of the stuff you complain about and has caused actual harm is a direct result of the left whereas the right pushed a drug that didn’t work but has minimal side effects (ie., virtually no harm) but you end with saying it’s crazies on both sides. I get and agree that we need to get to an alt middle position but you can’t just minimize the harm done by the left while amplifying the harm from the right and make it an alt middle position; it’s false equivalency.

@@lari5891 that’s harm those individuals take on their own. We don’t ban cigars and cigarettes but that’s actually causing significant self harm. But back to my original point. This harm that the right has caused, which is if anything only self harm… vs nationwide masking of all kids/remote learning which has shown a lot of societal problems such as increases in suicides, speech issues, anxiety, etc. These problems are not remotely even closely similar and this is just on one of the hills the left had decided to die on.

@@dqh6429 encouraging distrust in vaccines, and legitimate health sources created an enormous harm, that will outlast the pandemic. Also, lockdowns and remote learning are not only imposed by authorities. People spontaneously stop interacting and going out when they see others getting sick or when close others die. Relatives and friends of the nearly 1.000.000 people who died (some because they were not vaccinated) plus those who have long covid also experience depression, anxiety, etc. There is an unusual situation, do not pretend to act normally. It is easy to criticize when having the next day newspaper.

@@lari5891 the public health officials created far more harm than those promoting ivermectin. I got vaccinated boosted but I don’t know if I’ll trust the public health officials if there’s a new pandemic in the future. Either the officials outright lied, lied with statistics, or were just disingenuous with so much of the messaging. Vinay talks about a lot of it throughout his podcasts, zdogg to a slightly lesser extent. But a lot of these things that Vinay/zdogg talk about where things that those of us in more right leaning circles were talking about back in late 2020 based on studies performed outside of the US…

I love this video because he gives real strategies for growth of your holdings during unstable market times or even downward market periods. However his explanation for why crypto is staked is let’s say imperfect. Staking is a replacement and upgrade to traditional mining and less energy intensive. It returns value similar to mining. Without having a server/GPU farm. Proof of stake is the next generation of coin creation and value creation, But before then, I've been trading with *Easyworldweb🟡com* and it's very profitable
