Great interview! Both men are intelligent and accomplished professionals in their fields. The stereotype of dusty losers is not shown here. These men also seem very pleasant and respectful towards the Philippines culture. Western woman are bitter that men like this are going overseas from jealousy, because now they have competition from women who are younger, more feminine (but not feminists), fitter, and easier to get along with!

Honestly, it only takes a couple moments of thought to realize that a "dusty loser" could not successfully get to the Philippines, stay, and attract a woman there. Trying to survive in the Phils requires some sort of income or (very) significant savings; so no losers will make it. And no filipina is going to want to stick around long if the guy is somehow a horrible unreasonable guy.

Both Douglas and Dale make their argument for moving to the Philippines very well - clearly and succinctly. It's not about being a part of the Passport Bro "movement." It's about finding personal happiness and going where that is most likely to happen for them. They're not wasting their time thinking about what the angry Western women are saying about men like them, who move to the PH. They're just looking at how to live their best lives as Douglas put it. Good for them! They are sure to find what they're looking for. I'm hoping to hear more from Dale in the 2nd half of this video. Although, Douglas made a lot of points that Dale agreed with, I could tell that Dale had more to say but, graciously, allowed Douglas to speak much of the time in this video. See you soon, Pea! @jimmabey I have an Android smart phone with AT and T service from the US. I turned on the roaming service for the G network, but had no luck with it outside the hotels, had to rely WiFi when I got the hotels or other destinations with WiFi. I don't think the Philippines has a G network infrastructure like the US. The other option is to get a Philippines SIMS card. I returned from a trip to Israel in early March, the G network worked beautifully there, just as good as the US. I guess it depends on which country you visit.

I agree…getting a date is easy. What you have to deal with is a different matter. When I see video comments of western women and Filipinas having dialogue, I see the nastiest comments, name calling, etc… from western women. Rarely anything negative from Filipinas. That speaks volumes about character and why so many of us appreciate Filipino culture.

8:30 That's why I kicked out my ex-wife. Constant disrespect and always wanting more and more. An unemployed women with only one child in the house during the day because the rest are off at school, bitching at me to do half the housework when I work 10 hours a day as a standard and she doesn't get half of it done, herself.

Ouch! That doesn’t sound fair 😳

Sadly, that's a large part of what western culture has become and a good indication of the direction it's headed...

I have fairly recently started to think about retiring to the Philippines. I have come to the realisation that i, most likely, will be the last one alive in my family. I don´t feel like dying alone in Sweden so i am thinking about relocating. To move and find a new context to live in. I am not yearning for love but if it happens it happens. The Philippines seems to be a good place for me when i retire. The Filipina Pea is one of my guiding stars to a happy end.

Glad I slipped in ahead of the rush. I've often told my friends that I didn't leave the states, it left me. The country I was born in no longer exists outside of Norman Rockwell paintings.
