Hello Jerry and Linda love the show, my wife and I are in our late 50’s and are already retired in Texas from NYC but are thinking now retiring again lol to Florida . Ok we seen on 11/22 you guys were asked how is the night life in the villages ? But you really only provided day time activities except for BINGO and we’re not quite ready for bingo night life lol , so please could you please address that question again ? Since the video I talked with a fellow that works at one of the courses near the landfill. He said that 4 or 5 times in the past year that the smell on the course was pretty strong.

Just my 2- cents, I sold my house in St. Augustine, Fl and moved to Texas, my home state. Right before all the covid started and glad I did . I rented an apartment sight unseen on 3 rd floor walk up, which I love. 2 balconies on a corner. I can afford to live on my pension/SS. My HEB grocery/pharmacy right across the street. Less traffic here and less cost for everything. And I’m very impressed with trash pick up daily. Just in time for Medicare to start. I joined the Elks lodge with an Olympic size pool. It gets hot 🥵 down here like central Florida. Beach is 40 miles away. So far my little dog and I enjoy it. A nice walking bird trail and park steps away. It’s not an age limited complex but no problems.

Gizmo is missing his Mom. Glad she got to go see those grandchildren tho. I am newly retired in TN retired right as the pandemic hit in 2020. I love eating out but now I’m on low carb diet and intermittent fasting I cut eating out to one day a week and it is usually a nice steak and salad ; it Saves money and I’ve lost weight. Good luck on your diet. You all do such enjoyable videos. I don’t plan to move to the Villages but I really enjoy your content and great fun spirit. Always love Gizmo segments too . How much (and I realize this is subjective) monthly income would be required to have a full experience there in the Villages??? (Ball Park amount, so to say). Craig, of course that would depend on whether you had mortgage, car payment, outstanding debt payments or not. It would also depend upon the value of your home. The amount needed to live here is really not much different than it was back where we lived in Indiana. One of the differences here is we have a humidity feet of $168 per month... But we save almost that much on our electric bill. Our water/sewer bill is less here than it was in Indiana, but our insurance costs more. If you take the cost of real estate out of it, we think it very similar to the amount that we had to have to live to live before moving here. You can also take the grass cutting/lawn maintenance costs out of the equation if you plan to do it yourself. Guestimating 4-5K per month to live well.

19:22 Great video, I have say from conversations with friends and family they seem to be simplifying their meals. Many will eat a breakfast, a small snack for lunch and for dinner it consists a sandwich, canned soup, stew and/or they will eat out. But I believe as many (not all) people who have health issues and/or have gotten older they have stopped making the big dinners that consisted of meat, potatoes and vegetable. Many have just decided to simplify their meals.

I owe you and Linda a dinner... By comparing our utility bills I realized yours was 60.00 cheaper than mine but we had similar usage. Then I compared irrigation gallons and it immediately remembered I ran it everyday since we just installed many new shrubs. We were billed for 88.00 for the daily water... I just turned it back to 2 days a week... thanks..

Hi Jerry We go to our neighborhood pool three times a week... In the 3 feet of water ...People walk back and forth..but in the five feet of water if you want to do laps for excerise . I would go to the sport's pool...because our neighborhood pool is really for to chill out...and it can get crowded..but I can do my laps if I go early..When the pool have a few people in it.....

I think that groceries here in The Villages are expensive, compared to what we paid in TX, especially Publix. I have ordered groceries from Kroger for delivery. I have been happy with that service. Gizmo looks a little sad without his mama. I’m sure Linda is having fun, and will need to catch up on her rest when she gets home! We hope to bump into you one day!
