I've been making my bed every day (except when I had COVID and didn't get out of bed) for several years--since I read the admiral's book. I even make my bed when I'm staying at a hotel. The philosophy behind it is simple, but it works. And I don't even have anyone offering me candy to do it!

As a retired Navy vet I stopped going to a local barbershop because they used tattered American Flags aprons. I explained to the ower how offensive it was to me to use a tattered flag as a cutting apron. I never went back there, but did notice later on they no longer had those aprons in use. A damaged/worn U.S. Flag is properly disposed of by Burning.

Hey Jerry and Linda, continue even after ALL these years, well 18 months anyway, to love your videos. Your viewer of the week guy does not know what he is missing. 4th of July breakfast with some great neighbors, golf 3-4 times a week, Bible study with some more great neighbors, helping out neighbors who are gone for the summer by mowing and tending their yard, traveling to visit family from coast to coast and visiting Turkey in August. We are living a full, blessed and wonderful life and we are so glad it is here in the villages.

The advice you gave Laurie was spot on. I have participated in quite a few activities here in The Villages and have accumulated many Friends and associates and my circle of Friends keeps growing and growing. Jerry your impression of John Wayne was very good! I think that Jack is either living in an alternative universe/planet or he's just miserable where he lives and he's projecting. LOL I am a game player. Every day I play Scrabble on line, Words with Friends and maintain my city (Super City) on line. I go to water aerobics class 3 times a week and every 2 weeks I go to greeting card making class here in The Villages. I took a water color class and plan next week to join the Zentangle mindful drawing class. Joining the Barber Shop Chorus (all ladies) and applying for the Villages Pop Chorus. I think I'm keeping the neurons in my brain pretty active. I love learning and I love people who teach, like you two! I think it is such a noble profession because you have affected all those children's lives for the better and you are continuing to that now for adults! Woo Hoo! Thank you for what you do! ❤

Linda didn’t break the flag rules: Question: “Is it inappropriate and disrespectful to wear clothing or use tablecloths or napkins that resemble an American flag?”❣️ Fact: If an “actual flag” is worn as a dress, or cape, or shirt or is used as a tablecloth- it IS inappropriate and disrespectful. However according to the American Legion and the flag code: “Unless an article of clothing (and we can add tablecloth and napkins here) is made from an actual United States flag, there is NO breach of flag etiquette whatsoever. People are simply expressing their patriotism and love of country by wearing (or using) an article that happens to be red, white, and blue with stars and stripes.” God bless you and God bless America! 🇺🇸

Speaking of Marys, my dads sisters name is Mary Catherine but u will never guess her nickname. Aunt Kitty was what i called her. Everyone else called her Kitty. Even daddy called her that. Wow, what a surprise this morning. Didn't expect a video on a holiday and my birthday !!!! It's funny how people make a fuss about wearing the flag colors and designs, yet say nothing about displaying torn and ragged flags. Well, whatever. As far as solar panels, I saw an ad about installing solar panels for free by our electric supplier in exchange for them getting the excess electricity back for free. Sounds like a win-win situation for everyone. (I rent an apartment so obviously I don't qualify). There are some ebikes coming out that fold up with narrower tires and weight half as much as recent ones. I guess people are complaining it's impossible for women to lift those bikes onto a bike rack. Love your Blooper Breaks! It shows you can laugh at your yourselves. I hate the cold so my A/C is set at 77 degrees all the time, except when I'm cleaning and vacuuming. I just wear less clothes, like shorts and a tank top. I'll turn it down when I have company. I went to the Villages last year to check things out and it was beautiful. I was very impressed with my sit down with an agent. Lake Sumpter Landing was incredible. I then went to Solivita and realized something like that is what I want. The Villages is just too busy, felt like city life. People seem to be in such a hurry to get everywhere in there golf cart. So much traffic. I'm not knocking the Villages, I very well could end up there but Solivita just seemed so much more like the retirement I want. Thank you for continuing with your fabulous content.

When we started visiting my wonderful MIL in Linden several years ago, I fell in love with these visits and hate to leave and wait in anticipation for the next visit. The Villages is a great place to unwind and relax from the hustle and bustle of our normal family and work life. Another great video. Cute grandsons too. I always made our 3 boys make their beds. We remember the video with the planting of the big palm. We hope to move to TV in about 5 years when our grandkids are older and will most likely avoid palm trees based on your videos. By the way, you keep costing us $! When we were there in January my hubby had to go to Donut King, then Russell Stover and now Linda has me ordering capris from Brylah. I will definitely be going to the store next snowbird season 💵

Smaller lighter E Bike : I ordered my foldable Jupiter from Costco Delivered to Door in a (30" ish ? ) box for $699. The Handlebars Fold down & the Frame itself Folds in HALF to fit in trunk ! I believe lowest speed is 7 mph but it also has a seperate throttle Speed control. Love it ! Small but sturdy and not bulky removable lockable battery fits in frame

All electric house in Inverness, FL with pool. High during summer $200. Off season about $90 a month. Water $17 a month (no sprinkler system - mother nature takes care of it). Installed new windows, doors and heat pump. Big difference from summer of 2021. All LED lighting. We restrict laundry to once a week w/cold water so not to overwork the electric water heater. We unplug ghost appliances when not in use. SECO prices in Citrus County have been stable the past 7 months. AC at 76 degrees. Ceiling fans so house is comfortable. Unfortunately, electricity prices will rise. Like gasoline, use electricity wisely.
