BorgWarner Partners with BYD to Make LFP Battery Packs - The Battery Show 2024

BorgWarner was once known as a traditional supplier that specialized in powertrain components. But Paul Gumber, Sales Manager at BorgWarner Battery Systems, tells us the company is pivoting to develop not only ICE, but also hybrid and BEV solutions. That now includes an expanding battery module/pack manufacturing business, mostly for commercial applications, but they're modular enough for all kinds of uses.

byd have 90k engineers, catl have 18k engineers. their battery development progress surely fast.

That was last year. Now BYD has over 110k engineers in R&D and plans to grow with an new campus under construction for 60k more. BYD has more R&D engineers than all US-based OEM's combined and now more engineers than GM has total employees (sallaried and hourly) in the US.

Thats problem with us companies. They have bad customers service. In china you could walk in and walk out with one same day. 1 or 1000s. They dont care. Maybe one day ypu come back and buy 1000s who knows. All customers are worthy
