Borrowing and DRIFTING an F80 M3 BMW on track

‪@RKTUNES‬ let me borrow his F80 M3 BMW and go drift it on track! Super rad of him, it made my day! The car had an SLR angle kit, and a few little pieces, but was mostly stock. It had a hydro hand brake as well. Anyways, the car was a WAY better drift car than you would reasonably think, and I could absolutely tandem in this thing and do everything I needed to.... except replace body panels when I crashed it lol.

Awesome vid Aaron! I have an unrelated question, but I think it would make a good video to talk about. I watched both vids of Cameron Moore and the stack of Valino tyres he has and it got me wondering how come you don't see the more well known tyre manufacturers in drifting? Brands like Michelin, Pirelli, Bridgestone, Goodyear, Dunlop etc. Is it a political reason? - i.e. They don't want to associate themselves with drifting because they feel like it would be bad PR? Or is it much simpler such as they're just too expensive? Or maybe even a technical reason like they're not suitable for drifting for whatever reason? What would happen if you approached one of these companies and asked to be a parter/sponsor? Has anyone already done this? It would be cool to speak to a few drivers or maybe hear your own opinion on it. The closest I know is that Forsberg was sponsored by Hankook early on and over in Japan you see Yokohama and Toyo sponsorships, but I've never heard of anyone using the others. I would be surprised if Pirelli wouldn't be onboard since they've been a long time partner of the WRC teams so they're used to developing tyres for all conditions.

That's funny you said the throttle was laggy. Comfort throttle is like that Sport Plus Blasts the tires off in the first 1/4 inch of the throttle. Wish you would have drove it in sport plus. But glad you like the platform.

You can tell how much of a comforting item the hand brake becomes, when he jumps into the driver seat of a car he doesn't fully know/trust. I fully understand that it's a good thing to have, but the fluidity of the driving appears slightly lower when you jab the hydro in every single transition.
