If you're new here.. I am on a a 2.5 month research trip across Europe & Asia, researching urban greenspaces. My goal is to find green solutions to help urban residents, local governments & developers to work together to make greenspaces more accessible to all. Those towers with the plants 🪴 all over them are simply amazing. Keep up the great work Jason, I've watched this video three times already ❤.

Wow!! Thank you soo much!! It took a while to post because I didn't think anyone would find it as interesting as I did! So glad you enjoyed it! ❤️❤️❤️

Extraordinary! The entire area that houses the towers is absolutely impressive.

That for me was more impressive than the towers. I felt like ur should be spoken about soo much more it is. The combination of the local & private sector to make a green space for all is so amazing!

Thank you so much , Jason, for your inspirational and aspirational videos! It's fascinating to see how green spaces are tackled around the world and I'm looking forward to your up coming travels. I have one question, for the streetside, pocket green spaces at the beginning of this video, do you know if they are managed by the city or by volunteers?
@CloudGardenerUKАй бұрын
I am so glad that you found the video interesting. The road start planting is completely managed by the local government as part of their 2030 sustainability plan! The biggest complaint for locals was that there wasn't a lot of gardening initiatives.. which makes the hospital garden in the previous episode even more powerful! ❤️

Love this episode, but... greenwashing for another shopping mall? We don't need to consume more. There's enough cr*p already! :) Thanks, Jason.

Thank you for watching! ❤️ I wrestled with this.. profit profit profit of course 😵💫🤣 but if they create some greenspace that the locals can use instead of a huge concrete complex.. it's better than nothing. Surprisingly, this was the second busiest park I visited in Milan. There were play parks, tennis courts etc all in use. So although I felt it would be greenwashy before arrival.. once I was there & witnessed how it was used by the locals. I decided to include it as part of my data for further research :)

How wild was that skyscraper? It blew my mind. My understanding though, is that it only benefits the wealthy as they are the only ones who can afford to live there.

Oh! Did you say you will be going to China? A friend just got back from there. She said there is a building like the Milan Verticale there but it is NOT working out. Why? The Chinese failed to maintain the plants. Goes to show, you can’t just simply copy, you have to do the work too!

Hi Kay.. yes, I arrived. Some of the things I have seen here are spectacular! Every park, greenspace has been immaculate, so it's a shock to hear that building didn't work. Do you know where it was?
@kayrodriques312414 сағат бұрын
@@CloudGardenerUK She was in south China, somewhere near the sea. I think the problem was with the hydroponics and mold? She thinks the buildings were pretty to look at though. Can’t wait to see your photos.
@kayrodriques312414 сағат бұрын
Oh, she also went to Singapore and stumbled onto green buildings there. Are you heading that way? Bring mosquito repellent!!
