A tip- if you’re going to use a remote to play with settings, have it visible in frame. Whenever to push buttons, it’s always out of frame, yet the radio, which is static, takes up almost the entire frame.

Nice review! The Amazon product description says the unit has "text display of song information" which I would take to mean it reads the artist/song info from the disk, like a car stereo. But in the video it just says TRACK 01. Does it display song info?

The CD needs to have CD text enabled. Which means some old CDs will not have it.

@@ToolsElectroDIY Not confirmed, but I really think they will within the next few years, I hope it still has the aux jack inside as well as newly added aptx hd and Sony ldac bluetooth codec support for lossless Bluetooth audio.

This system does NOT use passive radiators! The reason it was and is such an impressive piece of equipment is because it uses waveguide technology to amplify the bass from full range drivers much like a flute amplifies a tiny breath of air to fill an entire concert hall. There are two long waveguides tucked into the small space of the system housing-one waveguide per full range driver. It is innovations like this that make BOSE the name it is.

There are many other companies that make speakers and have integrated Bluetooth and do not charge hundreds of more dollars for it. This is poor service by bose and perhaps even greediness. Absolute ridiculous. I have a speaker that sounds better than this by clips and it included Bluetooth did not charge hundreds and more dollars for it. And even if those did decide to charge more for it, it’s necessary you shouldn’t have to go buy a Bluetooth receiver and have cords and wires everywhere. Absolute joke

Even dumber, the main bluetooth add-on for Wave was tied to their now-discontinued SoundTouch line (SoundLink refers to their bluetooth tech and SoundTouch was a WiFi-based platform to compete with Sonos) Bose has been making god-tier SoundLink speakers for over a decade now. Wave IV should have either been discontinued along with SoundTouch, or refreshed with integrated SoundLink tech.

This unit is not Bluetooth ready. You will have to buy an adaptor for the aux plug. How cheap can you be, shame on BOSE. Their adap are 100-to almost 300 dollars. Thx BOSE.

The FM antenna is actually built in to the AC cord. You do not have to buy it. However, if you have the external antenna, the reception performance may be improved.
