Don't know if it's a good product or if everything Jim O'Rourke touches turns into incredible.

This is far more progressive (both the pedal and getting Jim O'Rourke to make patches) than I would have ever expected from Boss. Excellent stuff.

Your live album with Christian Fennesz is the most anazing thing I have ever heard.. Thanks Jim for your fantastic music. I hope you do more recordings with Fennesz and were hoping a live video of your concert in Japan with Fennesz will surface.

I bought this SY 300 since it was out , but until now I don't find the right way to get it work with all the possibilities it has: there no easy useful manual or tutorial for to really understand how it works to assign an expression pedal to the different effects and to know what you can or cannot do with it !!!

This pedal is amazing but there are some issues with the way it triggers upper notes despite playing with the settings a lot.

It's a pedal steel guitar, not a lap steel guitar. He mentions it @ 1:50. Lap steel, as the name suggest, (usually) sits on your lap. The pedal steel sits on a stand and has a few pedals, and sometimes knee levers, attached to it, which are used to bend strings.
