Auttumn, don't entirely agree with you. First, it's an emotional song to begin with so the emotion is there from the get-go. Second (and granted it's tough to live up to the golden voice that is brad delp), there's some definite straining in his vocals which takes a bit away from it being "fantastic".

Haters are gonna hate. No one can ever replace the vocals of Brad. But the music can live on with singers that respect who he was. Michael does a great job of that. So either listen and enjoy or don't listen at all.

What a great take on this song. I'm biased because Stryper is my favorite band of all time, but Michael totally rocks this tune! He's been singing in this range for 30 years - it's 2011, not 1986 anymore, and his voice is still as strong as ever. The perfect vocalist for this version of BOSTON!

Sweet is still going strong where many vocalist have faded by now. I think he may one of the hardest working guys in the industry. We've seen him a couple times over the last several year one full blown band show and then one with him and a guitar and he is truly amazing. Still can hit the notes. I appreciate his contribution to Boston in a time where many grieved the loss of Brad Delp.

Ok once again people come on this is not the original band so of course the sound is going to be different. Michael Sweet has one of the most powerful voices in the history of music and to say he's sucks well then people just don't know a awesome singer. Please out of respect for Brad Delp this line-up of BOSTON was put together as a tribute to him. Michael Sweet considered it a honor to be in BOSTON to pay tribute to Brad Delp. Please no more profanity and respect Michael Sweet and all people, including myself, for being Christians. Thank You!!

Being from Massachusetts, I'm glad to say I'm happy to see the real Boston twice. Brad Delp RIP, Barry Goudreau, Fran Sheahan, Sib Hashian RIP, and Tom Sholtz. Sholtz fired everyone except Delp in the early 80's for doing solo albums. It took Sholtz almost 10 years between Don't Look Back and Third Stage that the members did solo albums for a paycheck. Got to work and live. Anyways Delp sang lead on a lot of these solo albums which made it sound like Boston. Sholtz was pissed and fired everyone except for Delp, of course. This started the life long disagreement between Sholtz and Delp. This is just a Garage Band that doesn't even sell out in Boston!
@CatholicTraditional
@CatholicTraditional 3 жыл бұрын
Actually, the dispute was primarily between Scholz and Barry Goudreau, and has been for the past 40 yrs, over the solo album. If T.S. kept the original band together, they would’ve been like the Rolling Stones or U2. The music is just too good.
@dcdno_one2393
@dcdno_one2393 10 ай бұрын
This is actually not true. First you don't even spell Tom's name correct. There's no T in his last name. While Scholz was being sued by CBS he told the other members that it was going to be a long time and to pursue solo stuff if they were interested. One problem that arose was use of the logo and name Boston which was exclusively Tom Scholz. If you don't sue and defend logo and trademark name in the US you forgo claims to it. So... you have to sue. Tom is the band Boston and hired people to play live. He wrote the music, did the production, and did all the leg work to get a record contract. It is exclusively his to do with what he wants or does not want. No one has to be upset because it is Tom's intellectual property and can hire any ringers he wants.
