My Boston has never had kibble only meat. He's 35 lbs of muscle. I cook for him twice a day. Vet says he's the linebacker of Boston's. You can see him in some of my videos!

Love your cooking channel and your Boston is cute! So you only feed your Boston raw? I'm looking to interview parents who feed their Boston's raw. Would you be interested in coming on the channel to talk about your experience? If so could you shoot me an email. My email is in my about me section on youtube.

Ours was weaned on to raw food by her breeder, and up to the point that we found that out we hadn't even thought about a raw diet. So glad we carried on and I don't think we would ever consider anything else now. She's such a happy little ball of energy

I loved this video! I have already been questioning what I feed my Boston and I thought some of his behavior could be linked to food. I’m going to give this a try and see if it helps. Thanks for such a good topic in this video.

Super interesting! Now I feel pretty good my mom put both my dogs on a cooked meat diet. My Boston also eats canned prescription food to prevent stones in his bladder. The vet said he needs to be on a wet food diet. I sprinkle some shredded cooked chicken on top

I am wondering about a puppy as well. If a puppy was on this diet, would it be balanced differently than for an adult dog?

My last Boston had bad allergies so one of his vets suggested a cooked diet of sweet potato pork and egg. I thought it tasted good. Rinsed all fat off of pork after I boiled it. Later, when he was having heart issues the vet (different one) worried that his diet may have contributed to his heart issues with the absence of Tauren in his diet. First time I heard of it. Made me sick to think I may have caused his illness. Anyone know anything about Tauren?

I have to disagree with many of the raw feeders on here. Red meat should be 50% or more of the diet and glucose is made by the body even in the absence of grains/carbs. Dogs have zero need for carbs or grains. The anxiety she talks about is from the high amount of carbs in kibble. Look into insulin resistance in both humans and dogs. A more plant based diet for both increases anxiety and depression in both species.

I know that I am late to the party; however, I can not reconcile adding any vegetables into a dog's diet. When was the last time anyone saw a Wolf digging up a garden to get to some sweet potatoes or pumpkin for that matter? Canines like humans are carnivores! Meat only diets are what we (carnivores) evolved to eat and we derive all that we need from it. That's my take on it anyway. God bless, y'all !
@rcallbeck Жыл бұрын
Wild dogs and cats get the nutrients from vegetables by eating the organ meat of their prey - stomach, intestine, etc etc. Muscle meat will only get your pet so far

I highly discourage cooking food for your dog and FOR YOURSELF. We have been tricked and lied to for literally decades. Human beings are literally the only species on Earth that destroys their “food” prior to consumption. We don’t even know what are true species specific diet is lol (here’s a hint, we are not carnivores 😉) But that’s besides the point. All animals are DESIGNED to consume fully raw foods. Cooking or applying an external heat source literally destroys the food. Feed your dog raw flesh, raw eggs, goat milk, bones and other nutritious foods and watch what happens.

My thoughts exactly, because I don't know of any animal out in the wild that catches, kills it 's prey cuts it up and stokes up a grill to cook it? LOL
