Rc Fun lol !! No motor is a junk motor as long it has a Piston for a hart ! But most of the Nitro motors with one way bearings with pull starts and roto starts did piss off a lot but f people that can't tune and made them all quite the hobby. Just higher risk of air leaks and also robs hp and more heat and they carry more unnecessary extra weight.

Hi botajell I'm having some trouble with my hyper 7. I bought a starter box but it doesn't connect with the flywheel enough and is wearing away the rubber starting wheel and won't start the engine , so do you think that the tlr engine mount you showed in the video would give me more contact between the rubber starting wheel and the engine flywheel. Great video as always 👍

Alfie Bailey I’m not sure if you can use it on that ? Maybe??? Try lower engine mounts or raise your wheel on your bump box by adding or removing shims!! Call HABAO and ask them if you have the right bump box or engine mounts? Or chassis ? I may have to grind my cousins chassis on his old OFNA ???

Hey quick question what fuel do you use for breaking in, I’m gonna use Byron 30 11 for when I tune it but what fuel do I use for breaking in, I also own the truggy

You said you wouldnt touch the idle screw so do i just leave it factory or do i need to adjust it somewhere? And how many tanks do i need to go through before i get to do a base tune? I got the losi 8 buggy

Make sure the idle gap is 1/2mm! Most of the time they will come just fine from factory. Then preheat to 200 degrees Fahrenheit then fire 🔥 up the engine with a good glow plug and igniter and fuel like a Byron’s 30-11 then keep giving it throttle like blipping it so your engine stays running for a few seconds once it starts then let go of the throttle and if it stalls ? Lean the low speed needle and do everything all over again then if it stalls again after you leaned the low ? Lean it some more and do everything all over again until it stays running on her own for at least 7 full seconds then after that put the car on the ground and drive it back and forth at full throttle and if it feels like crap like it should since it’s very rich ? Now start leaning the high speed needle and keep going back and forth and leaning the high speed until it sounds and looks good for your taste !!! Make sure the throttle feels good and does not sound like chiwbaca !! If your idle at this point sounds louder and raised ? Do not touch the idle gap !! Just richen your low speed back up just a little so your RPMs go down but the engine can still run on its own and stay running!

This is a RTR losi 8T that I got for my daughter to use it’s not at all like my TLR 4.0 8T that you may see in many of my popular past videos!! If your asking about the RTR ? It comes with a nitro engine that uses a pull start so for you to run it out the box there’s no need for a bump box but the first upgrade I did to my daughters RTR losi 8T was to rip that pull start , one way bearing , and little spring Shit out of that engine and install a back plate and 4.0 engine mounts so I can use a bump box . Also Once that shit Dynamite 🧨 28 blows up or dies it will be all set up to use a real nitro engine in there like a Novarossi.28-8 port. 🤝💥👊💥

Quickly , not long at all and I’m using a cheap shity one from harbor freight. I also have heavy duty ones for removing wall paper in homes but that’s over kill and not needed . Hair dryers suck and so do hobby grade heat guns so a regular cheap one from Lowe’s or sears or harbor freight is fine.

but the backplate is only a plug and a volume reducer right? it doesn't support the crank tail ? i took the one way bearing crap off an hpi 4.6 savage motor and to seal the backplate, just need to plug the hole where the shaft would have come through? - no?

Big problem with these people is the on off switch location I've gone threw a bunch of switches before bypassing it I believe it's the location of the switch cuz on my 2.0 buggy ware the switch is up near reciever box the car is over 10 years old ND never had a problem with the switch with my 8t I've had a number of run aways before just saying enough of this ND by pass it

That way I know i know there first motor starts off life on the right track and hopefully it will give them plenty of life to learn about NITROs so they can move up to the next step and level !

kamakazi fishing it's a 5 port .21 and it's a great 👍 motor! I have not yet broke in mine yet but I have broke in two of them already for friends and got to do a base tune on them and I ran them pretty hard after break in. I may save mine?? Adam Drake no longer races for Novarossi and it will be a collector motor to have!

BOTAJELL Thanks heap bro I live in Australia i buy most my parts from USA because rc is really expensive here even with the US exchange rate being higher its still cheaper to buy from there and ship to me. Where i live not many people are into nitro. I have to travel 3 and a half hours just to race. But i dont care because nitro is what i want to run. Keep up the good work with the videos.
