After Baltimore, we drove overnight to the club in Philly. We arrived around 10am or so and in typical fashion folks kind of split up to do whatever they wanted.
Dave V, Luis Mota (tour manager) and I went to the Reading Terminal Market for some shopping and lunch. This day was particularly special for Dave K as it was his 3 year sober anniversary. So we bought some flowers, while guitar tech Brad Clifford and others picked up cookies, so we could celebrate his achievement.
Union Transfer is a nice club with great sound. It has laundry facilities which a number of us took advantage of and a comfy green room to hang in.
Uniform opened the show and they were awesome, again, super powerful band.
I'm writing this note the day before our San Francisco show and thinking back to Philly, that was the show that had the most technical complications of the whole tour (unless SFO tomorrow is a mess :D). Luckily, for the East Coast leg we had a drum tech, Justin Nace, along with us. His most recent teching experience was supporting Jay of Slipknot and he knows his stuff! In this clip, you can see a moment when the cymbal hardware pops off and he helps get it corrected. So professional and supper appreciated!
Our next show was in Boston with Converge and Cave In, will post that soon!
