@@BoundForNowhere You're doing it!!! And I want to thank you for inspiring me to listen to my heart. I found you 2 years ago when preparing to hike the JMT. Sadly the pandemic cancelled this hike. The feeling of disappointment at the time was huge, but it actually lead my husband and I to bigger plans. We've spent the past 2 years preparing for a move from NH to UT. We gave away most of our belongings, sold our beloved home after 20+ years, quit our jobs and will be heading out for a 3 month cross country climbing/hiking trip in 5 weeks. We are leaving a great little town, lots of friends and a wonderful life- and trading it for unknown adventure and a deeper connection to our country's amazing beauty. I will turn 50 this summer and my husband will turn 60! Our life is speeding along and we felt compelled to stop and ask ourselves if we are living by our priorities. Your shared experiences are a great source of inspiration and valuable resources as we prepare for whatever is next. I am deeply grateful to both of you.

Love the still images! You never really leave Alaska even when you come back to the lower 48! We built a log cabin on Chena Ridge outside of College in 1974. Glad to see the adventure continues! I definitely very much feel like I’m there with you guys during your stories. You both have incredible talent. So glad you had a great experience in Hatcher Pass. Such a special place 💜 Also excited you hiked Reed Lakes! Hatchers is just as lively in the winter time too. The state opens up some trails for snowmaching. Experienced backcountry skiers carve beautiful lines down all the mountains. There’s also a nice road run set up for the less experienced (also mostly snowboarders) where someone can drop you at the top, and pick you up at the bottom. You’ll see truck beds full of people hitching rides and getting toted back up the mountain. It’s quite the playground year round.
