"Look at this, look at what they make you give." Hits hard. If anything the assassin has more of a good guy face . Mostlikely just an unlucky orphan before he became a Treadstone drone. Clive Owen is fantastic in this.

It adds sn element of tragedy to ut all. These men answered the call to serve what they thought was the greater good. Gave up their lives, their bodies, even their names, and in the end what are they used for? Treadstone burned through all it's operatives to try and kill one of their own who in turn was used to try and kill someone who was an inconvenience to some bureaucrats' careers.

@TristanLane520Ай бұрын
@matthewkuhl79 correct it's not, but he racks it closed. I suppose "snapped" might be a better word to use, as in "snapping it shut", but I tend to envision "snapping" a shotgun as opening the break action, the same way you'd say "breaking" the shotgun, which is why I said "racking it" as closing it. If there's a better word to mean solely the closing of an already broke open shotgun then please let me know.
@matthewkuhl79Ай бұрын
@TristanLane520 There is no "racking" a single-shot shotgun. Racking moves a round into firing position, but closing the firing mechanism onto the barrel does not.

Yeah, I'd rather have seen the few minutes leading up to this as well. It's a terrific build-up how the family realise that their dog is missing so it's obvious something's up. Bourne sends them into the basement and then you see him figuring out where to find the shotgun, which has been placed on top of a high cupboard to keep it out of reach of the kids. And while people are praising the line in this clip, "Look at what they make you give," for me that's not the best dialogue in the movie. It's where a panicking Marie says, "We should never have come here, I... these children, if..." and Bourne just says calmly, "That's not gonna happen." And _then_ he goes outside and deals with the threat.

Bourne Identity directed by Doug Liman ; second installment Bourne supremacy by Paul Greengrass set the tone for intense hand to hand combat scenes. Matt Damon quite athletic fit the role perfectly. The third installment Bourne Ulimatum and fourth Jason Bourne both by Paul Greengrass - good in content - tired our eyes with shaky camera and quick cuts.

"Look at what they make you give" is such a idiomatic sentence, but not in English. A more English-friendly way to rephrase that sentence would be "Look at what they made you do", or something less elegant, "Look at what they made you capable of". It doesn't quite make full sense to an English speaker. Probably because the Professor has spoken, and has been speaking many languages up to that point, like all Treadstone agents, it's like melding. Who knows what language that sentence makes the most sense in, but it's intentionally not in English, and it's fascinating.
