I'm glad you liked it. We get them fire bans all the time too. The only time cheat on them is in the wetlands or swamps. Plenty of water to throw on the fire, LOL. Give the ole bowl a try when you can, Thanks for watching my friend.

Thanks! For some odd reason, I am always drawn to the swamps or wetlands. I dont film their that often because drop a camera once and its over. It is a cool place to trudge through and sleeping there at night, you get to hear sounds you dont hear in the woods. I was taught that just because youre out in nature theres no reason to scrimp on food. I love to eat, lol. Take care and thanks for watching my friend.

I wish you were with me eating and filming too, you film and edit better than me, LOL. I go to places like the swamp because my old mentors said dont choose a good location. Learn to sleep, eat, cook in comfort no matter where you are. I have always tried to make a fun time out of the most lousy location I can find. Im with ya on the finding time thing. Im not doing as many videos as I used to because finding time to make them is getting harder and harder to do.Thanks for watching my friend.

Man I love that idea. I have needed some kinda air flow for awhile in the grill bowl set up. That lower grill is a fantastic idea without ruining my bowl with holes and, I already have a small grill made for the top of a coffee can stove. I think it will fit in the bottom of the bowl. Thanks for the tip and thanks for watching my friend.

It is a fun set up to cook with, very nice to stand and cook. Bending over a fire is a young mans game, Ha Ha. The fired taters are a favorite of mine. Theres several ways to tie a tripod but, this one works really good for me. Chat later and thanks for watching my friend.

Cool, thinking out of the box opens the door to more fun and more options to do stuff. If you gonna put holes in the bowl, you might could replug with nuts and bolts or, if youre good with tin snips, you could make a little pinwheel thing like on the bottom of those old fashioned charcoal grills. You know, you spin them closed or spin them open for air. Good luck and Im glad the videos help out bro. Thanks for watching my friend.

My only guess for any normal camper with normal gear would be to pitch a tarp of some kind at least 4 feet or higer then baton some wood with an axe or machete. Once its battoned, slice it into slivers or make a fine feather stick. Thats about the easiest way assuming you dont have any kind of accelerant with you and just standard gear. Thanks for watching my friend.

Ha Ha, I think the loggers had dried up tasteless sandwiches on the menus. I wasnt sharing, they were tearing up alot of the view there. That swamp borders a huge pint tract owned by a logging co. Itll ruin the view for about a year or so then it'll grow up again. Man, this is a very fun system to cook with. Ya gotta set you up one bro. take care Mike and thanks for watching my friend.

Sounds cool but, it would need to be an unpainted fan grid. Another thing you could try, Take an el cheapo grill replacement from the dollar store of walmart, like the kind that sets in the oven. cut, fold or bend the corners to just sit on the bowl. I have used this for wok frying a few times and it works good that way too. Good luck and thanks for watching my friend.

That would help this set up and Ive thought about it before but, theres three more set ups for this bowl and holes in it would ruin the other cooking methods. I recently made a smaller grill that sets in the bottom and holds the wood about an inch off the bottom allowing it to breathe alittle. It helped out big time. Check out parts 1,3 and 4 if you have time. Take care and thanks for watching my friend.

Oh absolutely, Hogzilla, its whats for lunch, Ha Ha. I love bringing grills or cooking gear on trips because in the event that you have no choice but to hunt, fish or trap for food, at least you have a decent way of cooking it with ease. I used to just carry dry beans and they took forever to cook. Now I have started putting water in with them the day before so it only takes about a 1/2an hour to cook in summertime,1 hour in winter time. Thanks for the comments and thanks for watching my friend.

That is a really cool grill-set up. I like that you can cook standing, you don´t have to bend or sit on the ground. Those potato-chips looked delicious. I just had to try that. And I learned how to stop the tripod from gliding apart. Great. Thanks for sharing my friend.

Starch is so satisfying! I'm going to make a cooking system like yours. So ingenious. I might try to make holes in the bowl that I can re-plug. That way I can use the bowl as a smoker or a dome. It came in a set of four off or amazon. Its a no name set of stainless steel pots that stack inside each other. The other three are in the indoor kitchen. I can say that I havent been able to find this bowl for sale by itself. The single bowls are always too small or too big. This one was part of a stackable set. Its 11 inches across and 4 inches deep. Kinda like a wok. I always judge a bowl by if it fits in my buttpack, then its small enough for me to carry and certainly will fit in my backpack. Take care and thanks for watching my friend.

Ha Ha, that wouldd be cool. I was told along time ago that it doesnt matter where you are, you can whip up decent food. Funny thing, when Im in a swamp, or the woods, or on a mountain, I eat really good. When Im home I get lazy and do the ole peanut butter and jelly sandwhich thing, Ha Ha. I bet I'd make an interesting cooking show on there. Thanks for the comments and thanks for watching my friend.

Yes, it is very weird, just like me, Ha Ha. When i do a tri pod like for a shelter frame or something, I use the ole Clove hitch Frapping Square knot thing that everyone else uses. I use the two two method on this one because its very easily adjusted to keep the bowl far enough away from the paracord, avoiding melting. The frapping always locked it in place and there was no adjustment. Thanks for the comments and thanks for watching my friend.

Excellent idea! Great for the swamp, snow or anytime a ground fire is out of the question. If you had a dedicated fire bowl, you could drill small holes in the side for air flow.
