Very excited to work on this, I have been watching many of your videos, and they are all so helpful, I started bowling like 2 months ago and couldn’t bowl over a 70 now so far I’m bowling 120:140 which still isn’t very good but a lot better for me!

This makes so much sense. Definitely going to try this tonight in my league. I'm 5'11" and weigh about 280 and my balance is the worst part of my game. Thanks for the advice!!! Love the channel by the way!!

After about 35 years of deterioration in the cartilage and bones in my knee and I got a replacement. This caused my foot to move about 3 inches left when the missing cartilage was ‘replaced’. I have had problems with balance ever since. I feel that my trail leg is not moving far enough left (right handed) to keep my weight over the foot. This I try to work on in practice.

going to have to try that thanks for the info

Hey thanks for the helpful content. I understand ball and sliding leg(ankle) should very close (wrist inside). Have you a tip to keep these distance constant every shot - again and again? Thanks and best greetings from Germany.

Thanks JR! I have been falling to the right and can't figure out how to have balance. I think this will really help next time I bowl.

This is real light bulb moment for me, as I always struggle with my balance at the foul line. I am literally now going to practice, I'll let you know how it goes. Brilliant.

This is great timing for me. Last week I was stumbling on to stepping towards the target, and it helped, but I was still releasing above my knee. Today I was trying to release at my ankle but kept swinging wide, because I stopped stepping towards my target. Tomorrow I'm putting the two together and hopefully the 70 pins improvement between the 2 will stick or improve some more.

Just subscribed yesterday. Interesting video. Just. Started bowling again after 30 years! Found out about using the cross over step the other day. I was thinking about that pushing me to the left of my target. Sliding back toward target with slide seems would fix that. Also stepping toward target would automatically get nonslide leg out of the way? Will try this TODAY.

I’ve saved all these parts of your balance, chest, release, what part of your thumb should be pressure against the thumb hole.. happy happy happy. Keep the great videos coming

Chiropractor and PROPERLY removing ear wax (those candles work fyi, CVS has them near the eye drop selection usually if you want to try) from your ears will also help with your natural balance which also will help with you being more stabile at the line.

during covid times my bones are probably all out of wack and I probably have a ton of earwax haha! so bad for bowling xD! thanks for sharing

Another thing to think about too is: Your sliding foots Sole! Do you have shoes with changeable soles? Maybe your sole (not the heel one) is too slippery (S10 or higher) and during the end of your slide its causing your foot to twist, throwing you off balance? This happens to me. I use an S8 during winter months and use S10 during summer and that works for me! Something else to think about!!!

Keep the ball closer to you and lock your elbow earlier in the swing.
