It’s very important for footwork and good defensive technique. The stronger part of my muay Thai is my boxing and defense.

@@REMY_L3beau of course bro 💯 Muay Thai has some of the most explosive kicks out there, adding the swift characteristics of boxing is a golden combination indeed.

I saw this guy in a video talking about rhythm stepping. It is such a simple concept that is overlooked. One of the marks of a great teacher or instructor is they can break the complex things down in a way that anyone can understand and apply. This guy is a great trainer.

The way punches are thrown in muay thai are very different from boxing. Also the thai stance is not as open and low as this guy is doing. He is doing a mix of styles honestly, more suited to mma in my opinion. Muay thai is the art of 8 limbs, so every fighter has their style since it's not that one dimensional as boxing. You can have decent hands and still be the best in your division.
@ajastar2856 ай бұрын
Good boxing in a game changer. The footwork alone will open you up to landing knees and kicks from angles that boxers use to expose or trap their opponents.

@@AmbiguousMan724I think he just means you have to adapt your boxing for in to work in MT. for example you wouldn't turn you leg fully over on a hook in MT like boxers do because to leaves you vulnerable for a low kick, or like he said the stance isn't as low because that feeds in to knees and kicks. good boxing is important but you need to adapt it to work for you.
