Because if something happens to your stuff, it’s directly your responsibility because you didn’t come clean to the prank. She thought it was now hers because she couldn’t find out who did it. It’s not like she intentionally gave away the gnomes knowing it was her BF’s sister’s. If he has to “rethink” the relationship after this misunderstanding directly at the fault of him and his sister, then OP is better off finding a person who knows how to take accountability for his actions instead of blaming OP for it Edit: update: so the BF pos decided to prank OP for 2 months with gnomes and not tell her they are her sister’s passed away boyfriend’s which his sister is grieving over still? Uh… huh… then he blames it all on OP. Do they honestly believe that OP knows where that storage unit is, what is in it? Hopefully the sister realizes the faults in her brother’s story sooner than later. I’m pretty sure the BF wants to get rid of them because he believes his sister “grieved too long” or something like that, but instead of getting rid of it, he pulled a prank on his girlfriend and spinner the story to make her look like the bad one and the one at fault.

I would never use the health of a friend or a family member as a lie to not do something (watch my own kids, go to work, etc.) This is because it put it out in the atmosphere. You’re basically risking their health by saying they have bad health to get out or something. And that is vile.

Story 1: The ex and family are ridiculous if they think anyone's going to hold onto a bunch of gnomes for months, especially when the target of the prank doesn't know what's going on. Also the fact that the gnomes were important to the ex's sister makes it worse IMO, if someone did that to me, especially without me knowing who did it, I'd assume that they didn't want them back since they're just leaving them for months. Also the story made me remember that "you've been gnomed!" meme.

Story 2 The commenter who said they would understand if it was friends they didn’t know-no, lol. That’s still not okay. No one is responsible for suddenly watching your children and if you have concerns like that don’t dump your kids off at your relative’s house. One of the couple could’ve went to the hospital while the other stayed with the children. Or they could’ve taken the children with them to the hospital. Not dumped the kids there suddenly only to berate the person who did them a favor.
@JennRighter8 ай бұрын
Parents can be wayyyyy too entitled. They’re YOUR kids. If you have an issue with alcohol being in someone’s house or their friends being at their house, don’t dump your kids there with almost no notice. Very simple. Our family had a "Cursed Cookie" plate. Basically, it got taken to a family member's house the first time, no one owned up to who brought the cookies because they tasted outright AWEFUL. Like, someone accidentally used baking soda instead of baking powder or accidentally used salt instead of sugar mess up. So the cookie plate didn't get claimed. The person who's house that was hosting used the plate and took cookies to the next family gathering and then just left the plate. It's a glass paint with painted flowers, not some cheap thing. It just gets taken from house to house and left with the host for them to take food to the next family gathering. 😂 Usually it's cookies. So... kind of the running joke in the family, to see if anyone would ever own up to who actually owned the plate initially.

"Flocking" has become a common prank in some areas, but it involves plastic flamingoes on the front yard. In some place, it's even a fundraiser for charities. You pay to have a friend or family member flocked. In some cases, there's a sign which shows who the flamingoes really belong to. Gnomes are just creepy. I'd use gnomes for the lawns of HOA presidents and Karens.

The deviled egg dish is ceramic with some little yellow chicks in the middle and the "shells" they hatched out of are the dips in the dish that hold the individual eggs, and I use it for decoration around Easter. I serve everything BUT sweet pea salad in the other bowl, lol. It's okay. Grandma would understand.

So a pink sheep graced his yard. I began sneaking over at night, swiping the pink sheep, and I would put it in MY uard. TheN pops would sneak over and steal it back. Went on for YEARS, had the cops called on both of us a few times from freaked out neighbors. When my dad got too ill to sneak in to steal it, he made a huge production of "Passing on the Pink Lamb" to me. Sadly, my ex trashed it during the divorce. I miss that damn pink lamb....
