I think you should be able to build a container to hold the Abhartach and the dirt and stones above it as well. Basically build a wood frame, and poor cement into it. Then once you have it completely wraped in concrete, with the dirt and stones in the same place as they were. I can't imagine it is going to rise up. I mean, they didn't try to encase it in concrete back then, so using the dirt, stones, and concret should be enough to completely hold it. It's strength is not enough it seems even without the dirt and stones on it, even just when it was fighting them, it didn't seem strong enough to break through a foot or two of rebar reenforced concrete anyway. But just in case, do both. Then take that entire concrete block, and do as you said, get the community to pay for a building to bury it under. And declare it a landmark as you said. But just take it slow, double and triple, and septuple check every measure, every step, just take it slow and careful with a dump trunk full of dirt and stones ready to dump through the hole above it down into that hole if it suddenly starts to move etc. And then move to the new world, and never come back to the town...

Haven't seen the movie. But from your summary, I think Abhartach would get buried pretty quickly by the majority of the other vampires you've covered. Mainly because of his lackluster speed and strength. However I wouldn't be surprised this was just him at his worst, a severely weakened state. And that his "prime" would be an absolutely beastly on top of his healing and resistances to conventional vampire weaknesses.

I liked them using a foreign folklore and very old interaction of a vampire. I do think the tall, thin, ghoulish humanoid design is a little less original, but I also watched Last Voyage of The Dermeter a couple weeks ago so that's probably fresh in my mind. But for a creature that's been dormant and extremely malnourished for 1000+ years, it's fitting. I do like it summons the blood of others in the surrounding area, like blood magic. If you've ever seen Overlord, the vampire Shalltear creates a flowing blood sphere composed of the blood of surrounding bodies and this reminded me of that.

How can you of all people say that this vampire is among the most powerful ? You haven't thought this through, have you ? Just because he can't be permanently killed doesn't make him powerful. Hell, given his almost human-like strength and speed, he is not even a major threat. He would be relatively easily dispatched even by a human (as seen in this movie). Then, to keep him "down", the next steps I would take are: 1) chop him up into (20) smaller pieces 2) each piece will be cast into CONCRETE, and then placed in a thick STEEL box, which will then be welded shut. 3) each box will be sent to different REMOTE and unpopulated parts of the world, where they would be burried DEEP in the ground, in small tombs cast in CONCRETE. 4) just for good measure, have a couple of boxes thrown in the middle of the oceans, with a weight attached to them, to make sure they sink and stay on the ocean floor. Maybe even have a scuba-diver dig a deep hole and bury a box somewhere deep underwater. 5) I just thought about throwing a piece in a volcano :) I'd like to see him put himself together after that ..
