I'm glad y'all are finally coming aboard the Keita train. He is incredible, and not only is he a good singer, dancer, and rapper, but he is also a producer/songwriter. That clip of Jiwoong and Seobin gets me every time, especially the parts when Seobin starts laughing and when they completely block the camera. My top nine has changed quite a bit after this episode. I´m getting really tired of my favorite Jeong Ichan getting zero screentime even when he did so well in his audition (he was in the Mirotic group with Kim Jiwoong and Lee Seunghwan, he starts the performance). He´s a great singer and good dancer, and he also produces and writes songs. He´s talented, but he´s on the verge of being eliminated in the first elimination because of it, he´s #55........It´s so frustrating that mnet spends enormous amounts of screentime on a select 20 or so trainees and basically ignores everyone else. He´s my personal underdog for sure, Jeong Ichan and Haru (another very talented trainee, especially dancer).

Having watched episode 2, a few things stick out for me in terms of the trainees. One is I feel like no one is an obvious stand out. Like when I say stand out I mean an obvious talent that cannot be ignored by anyone. Like usually we would get the prodigious vocal talent story or the dancer that can’t be ignored or the rapper who spits so fast no one can catch. And I think part of that is the standard is so high now with how many of the trainees are either survival show alums or have been idols previously who unfortunately didn’t shine. So the storyline of the show instead focuses itself as a redemption story for everyone. Talking specifically about certain trainees, Anthony’s singing voice sounds different for me >_> either I’m just deaf or he isn’t as used to his new vocal tone due to late puberty. Lee Daeul continues to shine with a strange charm >_> He doesn’t have solid skills but his 3 second Ending fairy maybe all that he needs to keep everyone interested. Talking about dancers, I really wished we had seen Zihao dance more this episode and I’m hoping we get to see more G trainee storylines next episode cause the 5 minutes end tag with Keita Jay and Zhang Hao isn’t enough for me. Just glad Cong got a glow up storyline >_> Top 9 for me right now: Anthony, Jiwoong, Lee Seung-hwan, Keita, Kim Taerae, Ji Yunseo, Yoo Seungeon, Kum Junhyeon and Zhang Hao. A fairly vocal focused team since I like singing idols more.

This is the same issue that was brought up in Produce 101 series too, the song has very high notes, no rap, and it does put the guys who naturally have deeper voices and rappers at a disadvantage. But I do like that there is a "standardized test' where everyone is given the same song and dance and a given time to learn it, because it does show where their skills really are but I do wish they were given like a week instead of 3 days because some people do pick things up quicker than others.
