Excellent footage. York used to be a great place to go 'spotting'. So many different types to see from the 08 to the 55. One of my greatest memories is sitting on the stone wall under the girder bridge a couple of hundred yards outside the station with my friends, watching all my favourite locos go by.

Sorry Ian, only just seen this comment!! But I wanted to say how lucky you were. Depite spotting around Manchester for a few years prior, I didn't start spreading my spotting wings until the year after the deltics were withdrawn! I remember visiting Doncaster works and seeing the sad sight of them lined up in the scrap line. Thank you for the great comment and really glad you enjoyed the video.

At point 00:19, is there's a MK1 BG and what type's the second MK1 in the parcels formation? A BSO or a BFK?

I used to catch this train alot at the time. York to Shrewsbury parcels. In the middle of the train always a Corridor Brake Second. I would always have a compartment to myself. It used to arrive in Crewe in the early hours in the next morning. Happy days

31106 1:25 still active today, think it's on the Wensleydale Railway currently isn't it
