This was one of the most requested videos at that time (1987). I was 13 or 14 when it came out, and we loved the 1980's rock and what it had to offer. Cheers from a Gen X'er in northeast Ohio.

The guys in Poison threw some flyers out in the audience after their set was over and hit me in the face. Then they flipped me off and said some obscenities to me. Showed me that they had no class and really didn't care about their fans unless they were hot girls. At least Cinderella and Loudness were good. But that's just my story.

This band was so fucking awesome in the 80's. They didn't take much seriously at all. Yes of course Motley Crew, Alice in Chains, Cinderella, Motor Head, ........ all of the Above in a bowling alley. But if you wanted to have fun. Or way more importantly, have the girls have fun. You will play Poison, Open up and say Ahhhhhh!!! That made a party happen.

Saw them and Cheap Trick open for Ratt on the Dancing Undercover tour. Wasn't a huge Poison fan but they were decent in concert. Just in case you were wondering "talk dirty to me" is a play on words for going down on a woman and "talking". The hand gesture at 3:47 is "common-speak" for.... well...... uh hummm..... pleasuring orally. :)

Saw them in '86 open for Quiet Riot and Keel ( which cancelled that night due to bus breakdown). We didnt know who Poison was, was there to see Quiet Riot. We hung out back of venue, traded a swatch (Poison collected them at the time) to get backstage and hang out with them and watch QR's set. They had starch / water in spray bottles and gave us the hair metal treatment. Ended up going back to Days INN after show and hung out in 2 rooms with CC and Bobby Dall. CC had a new guitar and had book with EMS / Medical stickers and we put some on the guitar and I got to play it in the room and then after some chicks showed up we decided to give them some privacy and we left.

Poison is probably my favorite hair metal band. I love Brett’s voice and Cece’s guitar. Brett is say “behind the bushes” and I’m pretty sure his reference to him screamin for more is about her talkin dirty to him, that is the name of the song. I think he’s basically saying she drives him crazy (in a good way) because of her dirty talk.

They auditioned several guitarists in Los Angeles and eventually narrowed it down to two candidates: Slash and C.C. DeVille. The band knew Slash from the band Hollywood Rose, of which he was a member before joining Guns N' Roses. Axl was in a band called L.A. Guns with guitarist Tracii Guns. Axl then formed Guns and Roses without Tracii.

🤘❤🤘 Fun reactions, guys. I was 14 when Poison released this song & video. Definitely a song about getting it on but musically written in a way to have a fun time and disconnect from life's bulls**t for a while. The '80s was all about good music, good movies, great concerts, wild hair and clothes that made no sense. That's how kept our sanity and enjoyed the decade. Disconnect for a bit. Unlike today where so many people are connected 24/7 and popping meds to ease their stress and depression.

There were no “rock n roll” clothes but there were ladies fashions that would work. My son used to work for the Affliction clothing line and the drummer for. Quiet Riit would come in and but woman’s jeans because they fit tight.

The clothing is a mix of flashy womens accessories and clothing, including blouses and lingerie, and leather clothing you can find in S&M sex shops. Successful bands like Poison had someone exclusively working on their wardrobe. Sewing, shopping, laundry, etc. Forever 21 was around in the 80's so some of the clothing probably came from places like that too.
