Pour straight out of the bottle onto pet stains in carpet, let it set 5 minutes and repeat. Also use it in a pump sprayer to get rid of mold in basements. It works better than bleach, and no toxic smell to deal with. And it's usually less than a dollar a bottle. Also used in a spray bottle for stained ceiling tiles. Use it full strength, don't mix with water for cleaning purposes it works great and it doesn't harm most materials if any. One more thing, sanitize pet bowls. Apologies for the long comment

I never knew about the mouth wash thing til about 10 years ago. I was getting it trouble at my school in my hometown so I was sent to live with my uncle (VERY STRICT AND DOESN’T PUT UP WITH TROUBLEMAKERS) til the end of the school year!! Anyway they didn’t use it as mouth wash they had me put it on my toothbrush before the toothpaste and on top after the toothpaste was on the brush!!! It worked VERY WELL!!!! I didn’t like brushing my teeth when I was younger so my teeth were kind of yellow when I went out there. After a few weeks I came home for one weekend and everyone who saw me were AMAZED!!! My teeth were VERY WHITE and I had lost a good amount of fat and put on a lot muscle! My uncle lives on a farm in a VERY SMALL town like an hour north of me!! Well this comment kind of got away from me and has a whole lot of shit that has nothing to do with what I was trying to say. But I’m not gonna delete it all and feel like I wasted time!!! I use hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) for 15 years every day (I am 61 now). Through all this period I use it internally, too. Every evening above 3 hours after the last meal I put one small spoon of 3% H2O2 in a glass of water and I drink it. You can consume H2O2 if it is a proper solution with no additive and if you dose it properly - and it rejuvenates your whole body tremendously in the long term. I also use H2O2 as the main protection against cold and influenza by moisturizing the entrance parts of the cavity of my nose and my ears (for this a few drops of 1% solution of H2O2 will suffice if your skin is sensitive). Just avoid putting H2O2 deeper in the nose because it can cause a burning sensation (this has no negative health effect but can be very unpleasant for a minute or two). For application inside your ears, you can use a small piece of soft cloth or anything similar. In critical periods repeat this procedure about 10 times a day. For general protection 3 to 5 times a day is enough. I have to say that before I started to use hydrogen peroxide I periodically suffered from cold and pretty terrible bronchitis. Yet from the day I started to use peroxide 15 years ago to this day I had no single instance of cold, influenza or bronchitis even in days most of the people around me were sick. I hope this information could help somebody these days to cope with coronavirus. I also suggest to everybody make his/her own research on the internet to get enough information about H2O2 from as many perspectives as possible, to get a proper picture which is not always obvious at first sight. I also use ionic (so-called "colloidal") silver for the last 6 years. It has an important advantage in comparison to other disinfectors because it stays active on our skin or inside our body (if consumed) for a much longer period. By the way, with H2O2 I tried to remove some fungi from part of my right nail but it goes too slow. Then I tried with ionic silver and succeeded relatively fast (considering nail grows slowly it still takes about four month).

@polaris73144 жыл бұрын
@@Flaca.602 Yes, food-grade is must, the one without any additives or "stabilizers". Otherwise, you can buy whatever you can get, already diluted 3% or concentrated 30% or 35% (you dilute it subsequently with distilled water). @@MsIniquity I understand that you would like to give an easy recipe. But you can also buy 20% hydrogen peroxide (or even stronger). When you mix it 1:1 with water, you have a 10% solution, which is still much too strong. It will still quickly bleach your tongue, gum, lips, throat, … anything it touches. 1. If you keep a spray bottle of peroxide and water, remember the bottle must be dark. Peroxide will loose its potency if in a clear bottle. 2. I use peroxide and baking soda to form a paste to whiten my teeth. You need to have bleaching trays to do this. 3. As a blonde, I use peroxide and water to lighten my hair in the sun. In the winter, you can spray it on your wet hair and blow dry to keep it light. 4. Peroxide will leave beige spots on a white bathing suit so be careful when lightening your hair outside if wearing white. 5. I rinse my mouth with peroxide after brushing my teeth to keep them white.

Depending on what is considered “full strength”, H2O2 is an oxidizer & will react with organic carbons. Depending on the strength of the peroxide will determine the violence of the reaction. In other words, be very careful with what assay you are using & what you are using it on. For example, when H2O2 at higher assays is put on leather unless it is diluted quickly it will ignite.
@haroldwilkes66083 жыл бұрын
Varying blends but generally 3 percent (household use), 6 to 10 percent (hair bleaching), 35 percent (food-grade) and 90 percent (industrial). Read instructions on container before opening!!!
@Elizabeth-yg2mg3 жыл бұрын
Most people won't know what you mean by "assay"--you might expand on that.
@vicquickenden43793 жыл бұрын
Assay in regards to hydrogen peroxide refers to it’s strength or purity on a scale of 0-100. Any assay above 4% I would be careful with. Food & industrial grades should be handled with protective gear such as nitrile or latex gloves & eye protection. Most producers do not make H2O2 above 70% assay due to instability issues but at a 70% assay it is extremely reactive to carbons, it will burn bare skin & a person could not dilute it fast enough to prevent permanent eye damage or blindness if it gets in the eye. Follow the 3 “C’s” for handling peroxide; Contact - do not contact on bare skin; Contaminate - do not contaminate higher assays, will lead to decomposition which leads to…Contain - always have some form of pressure release if peroxide starts to decompose. When hydrogen peroxide decomposes it breaks down to its basic chemical elements, water (h2o) & oxygen, the water is released as steam which due to peroxide’s chemical composition expands at a much higher rate than ordinary water. Hydrogen peroxide is an amazing chemical with a myriad of clean, environmentally beneficial applications but should be treated with respect & care.

@@vicquickenden4379 Thanks for the information, Vic. I cleaned with h2o2 and baking soda and noticed it went right through the paper cup container; just used that mixture on my teeth and it works great as usual. Handy stuff.

@@haroldwilkes6608 I don't quite understand why the food grade H2O2 is 35% assay (hey, a new word for me, thought I might as well use it) strength. I mean if strong peroxide can set fire to leather, I'd hate to see what it might do to your digestive track and stomach.
