Own this amp. It's pretty darn amazing. Sounding epic with 6 to extended range guitars. Kyle and the KSR Team are great people as well!

It has some really great sound options. The lead 2 is my favorite.

Got my leg jumping, awesome tight fucking amp. Ballsy 5150 tones and more.

How does it compare to the EVH 5150 s 50 watt?
@MetalHeadProductions7 ай бұрын
Way different. The EVH is tighter and more compressed. The KSR has less gain for sure, definitely more low mid content and needs a boost to get into modern high gain territory, it also has more tonal versatility overall.

@@MetalHeadProductions Thanks for the reply man! Which would you keep? This is helping me tremendously.

@@MetalHeadProductionsThanks man! I had an EVH 5150 III which I sold to look for something "better" but everything points me back into that direction.

@@alejandroglz.b.4590 I just got this amp, had a stealth previously, and also briefly the Revv G50. Between the 3, this is the one I keep. If I could describe it I would say it sits smack dab between the Revv and Stealth. The Revv's purple channel was way too fat and wooly for me no matter what I did, check Kyle Bulls video review, he said the same thing, I couldn't stand it through my Mesa vertical 2x12. The stealth has more gain, but how many people change the one tube out of the Stealth because the Red channel has too much damn gain lol! The KSR is not as high gain, but what is there is very usable, throughout the whole range. The more you crank the gain the looser it gets, the less gain makes it way tighter. I would say its an extremely percussive amplifier, especially on Lead 2, the chug just punches you in the chest. I agree, its much more versatile tonally than either of those amps because of its 4 channels. It is overall a darker amp, not fizzy in the high end like the stealth, every frequency band is very pleasant in their ranges, and the NFB is by far the best thing, I wish every amp had one, it affects the amps tone and feel so much.

How does it stack up to the Savage or other full sized heads as far as the sound? I'm assuming it might not sound as girthy as a full sized head with the 45 watts but I was hoping to hear the opinion of somebody who has actually played it!
@MetalHeadProductions Жыл бұрын
Doesn't have the girth of a full sized head but honestly, still sounds nice and big, and way bigger than smaller lunchbox style heads.

Man that amp is awesome, I wish it was cheaper. Lol.. I just bought a Prs MT15 and it is awesome too but holy hell its noisy on the red channel even with nothing but a speaker plugged in. I think i might go exchange it at GC today and try a different one. it is definitely excessive noise. like listening to static on a am radio station. OH Badass Shirt BTW! got mine a few weeks ago haha.
@MetalHeadProductions Жыл бұрын
Yeah I had issues with the MT15 noise levels. Couldn't stand it.

@@MetalHeadProductions Got the new one, it is way better so far, no complaints. Also picked up a 2x12 EVH stealth cab and a Lichtlaerm Aesahattr. Very happy for a basement metal dweller.
