I love this ending doxology! Some parts of the chapter may be confusing, but who has known the mind of the Lord? It’s a part of the mystery of faith. I don’t want a God that I can fully comprehend- that would make my mind greater than His, and remove the seeking, the searching, the discovery of Him in my heart.

I want to fully comprehend God, that is why I seek and search for Him. I believe that God is not hiding Himself or His ways and wants us to know Him more fully. I don't think we can know Him completely, at least in this world. I am only concerned at why you think that knowing God completely would make you think you your mind would be greater than His? What about having a complete knowledge of Someone would make you superior to them?

Good question Trina. Here is an example: along with being a pastor, Darren is an engineer. As an engineer you might really fully understand the way a car works. The rest of us might understand parts of it well, but the designer or engineer or architect would be the one to fully understand it. Same analog with God. No one created Him, He is the Creator. No one can fully understand Him, but we see parts and observe beauty and humbly pursue and learn.

Totally right. I know we will never fully or completely understand God because He is the architect/engineer of everything. Even in the next life I fully expect to be discovering new aspects of our Lord and Creator. So maybe put another way in your example other than the obvious a human person is superior to a created car. My question in this context would be if a car could understand its creator than how could the car be smarter, more intelligent than its engineer? I know the question does not make sense, but I am still trying to drill down on the "superior" issue, if we could possibly know God how would we be superior, then our knowledge would have to surpass the knowledge of God of Himself? I have heard this sentiment before and I just can't figure it out.

I mean to say that IF we could know God completely then our intelligence would be at the height of God's but not above it, at the same level but not beyond.

Thank you and God bless you! 🙏🏽💕 Throughout my journey through the Bible I’ve learned that continuing in the faith ‘til the end is what saves and discontinuing in the faith is what makes one perish (it doesn’t matter what you’ve been doing before). This lesson was a nice reminder

I am absolutely loving the book of Romans and I’m happy I decided to follow the Holy Spirit lead on challenging myself to read and share/receive insight in a social media group I’m in. One thing I learned that I didn’t know was that Paul was (or should I say is) apart of the lineage of Abraham. He is a a Benjamite. He is Hebrew/Jew. The other thing I realized is (now this is comical) that God can be petty. Romans 11:11 since Israel, the Jews of Jesus days didn’t believe who he really is and what his calling was; the church folk of today, wanna be so religious minded and want to esteem the law by working for Gods Gift to us, God in this verse provoked them to jealousy by extending salvation to the gentiles (the world) #mindblowing Yesterday I wrote as a note beside Romans 10:14-18 God has to flex his sovereignty a bit to let people know He is Almighty and All knowing. We will get reminded of that when our boastful mouth and prideful heart leads us to destruction…. That’s a mouthful. I hope that make sense in this writing.anyway thank you for sharing. This really helps me gain more understanding before I start my share with my people everyday!!!

I don’t understand Romans’ or parts of other gospels. It feels like the verses are riddles and I struggle to decipher the meaning, even with help sometimes.

I believe that Romans helps us to understand Jewish history in light of Christianity. It's a necessary book to understand that we are one body in Christ. Absolutely essential.

So does getting cut off after being grafted in mean losing salvation?
@rchuggins8841
@rchuggins8841 2 жыл бұрын
We are all sons and daughters of god, if u believe u are saved through Jesus Christ, i believe tht right now in 2022 aug,the body of christ is one it just needs to be baptized in the holy spirit, it needs to be filled with his holy Spirit 1 Corinthians 12:12-27,please tune in and watch the potters anointing bryan cutshall from perry stone ministries, it streamed live today, where there are two or more gathered , there he will be, if the body accepts his holy spirit and we and we all pray from our hearts jesus will be there , it will be the biggest revival tht the world has ever seen for gods people, healing and miracles through jesus christ and his holy spirit , tht voice of triumph we shall shout to our God in one voice one body and one church, his church, AMEN
