Hi. Yes a massive difference in storage. Also the USB 3.0 port is a great addition. It feels like a nice premium box and in my opinion for the current prices it's a steal. Plus running the latest android 9.0

After watching a review from Chigz who is very honest with reviews. He mentioned that this box doesn't support 4k and test it as well. Then I watched your video which stated it plays 4k content then based on that I bought the box and to my surprise... it doesn't play 4k content and it's just like my old box which already plays 1080p so buying this was waste of time and money. I can vouch for these puppies. I've had 6 shit to average boxes in 4 years..The one I've had the longest and more recent is the earlier version of the box being shown, which is an H96-Pro+ 7.1. Never skipped a beat..Installed the latest VPN update/Updated the AVG & Additional Clean Up Tool..It still looks and performs like brand new and I got it in 2017. If this new one Free Tech's advertising is anything to go by, then "Yes" buy one....

WARNING, and this is no reflection on FREE TECH, this box now comes with 2 versions of firmware, in simple terms a good versions and a d0g 5h1t version, sadly i have fell foul of the latter. the first versions allow you to update apps like k0d1 from 18.1 to 18.3 or even uninstall it, the latter version you are stuck with RKMC which is a fork of K0d1 and you cannot update or uninstall as well as other apps. sadly its made a great box pointless as you will not get updates, I hope you read this before making a purchase, Sorry FREE TECH but i think its something users should know, as i have a feeling it may come back on you as your recommendation over the coming weeks. Please search YTand you will find a video called "banggood h96 max rk3318 andriod tv box fault" this will show the issues.

If I am paying around £30-40 for a streaming device I generally feel safer with Amazon devices. I have had my fair share of crap chinese boxes.

Been using this box now for a few days now and overall I'm impressed with it for the price. Two problems I've encountered so far is that the built in KZbin was working fine on day one but by day two it wont launch. Just goes back to the home screen. Any clues? Can't uninstall it as its a developer install so I'm stuck with a big homescreen icon that I can't use. I've downloaded SmartTube from your link and thats working fine. Secondly I find the picture quality a little washed out in some apps, especially in the browser or when its installing apps etc. I used the advanced display setting to get it looking good in Cyberflx but then it looked washed out in Showbox. I generally use MX Player but Showbox only supports Lime. Finally, I find it gets quite hot so I unplug it when not in use. My old box used to buffer a lot in anything other than Showbox but this one streams a lot better. So all in all not a bad box for the price.

I would suggest users stay away from RK3318 devices. It is a low cost version of RK3328 only sold to 2 or 3 companies by Rockchip, making cheap tv boxes. The CPU only runs at 1.1Ghz, not 1.5Ghz like RK3328 and corners are cut everywhere to bring the cost down to compete in price with Allwinner H6. Don't expect such devices to still work after 3-4 months because of the low quality RAM and emmc chips used.

Absolute DS. Remote didn't work and no WiFi. Was instructed by the provider to upgrade the firmware. For some reason I cannot get even the driver assistant to install and therefore no way to upgrade the firmware. Now stuck with a brick i paid 75 Euro for.

please do not buy this tv box coz I bought it and I had the worst experience If you don't have an air mouse it's almost impossible to use the pre-installed netflix and you can't even use the tv version of netflix coz it's not google certified then the play store isn't even the limited version of android tv so you can't get proper android tv apps unless you use 3rd party apps and 4k doesn't even properly work on youtube maybe it's because of my internet but I have 20mbps wifi and I connected the box to ethernet so I dont think that was the reason the chrome and google are shit you don't get google assistant or even a mic on the remote so that explains the shit browsing experience the mouse toggle is a pain in the ass to use and it doesn't even scroll down so it's almost useless So baisically I warned you

@@FreeTech i bought 3 boxes and 2 of them have that same issue. Only 1 works fine. And i bought them from 2 different sources and 1 box from each source has that same issue. I do have a airmouse controller that i connected via usb but u cannot save the password by hitting enter on my airmouse. So the onscreen keyboard is required to save the password. Also i shouldn't have to buy a seperate controller just to get a keyboard. I want the onscreen keyboard to work. This box must be junk if 2 out of the 3 have defects. I was hoping you knew where to go in settings to get it working but i guess u dont.

*Sum advice please* - I bought this box & loaded Atom VPN, then Turbo VPN, finally UFO VPN from letscrackon. Wen I run any VPN I get no VPN servers to select. Then my wired Internet will NOT load any apps/sites, no connection. But the WiFi wrks with my phone. I delete a VPN & Internet (wired) wrks again on the box! :/

I have the same problem on this and other boxes that have Android 9.0 pie. It seems there is a bug in Android 9.0 that disables ethernet whenever a VPN is connected. I have tried various VPNs, including the popular paid for ones.

Most boxes are crap and will disappoint you in one way or another at some point. Either the clearity will be choppy or buffering will be its second name. What I did and have never got disappointed was I took my old phone (you can buy a cheap phone with good specs) whic had good specs deleted all the call rated apps and downloaded streaming apps like mobdro, redbox livetv etc and I stream and cast direct to my smart tv. No need for bulky remote controls, no over heating, easy to browser thro channels , you can preview a online stream before watching (casting it). I mean how many time have you change a channel just to find out its not showing what you wanted to see or its just buffering (esp live tv like sports)... So thats my steady reliable TV box Only down side is you need to have smart tv (get cheap china one) that you can cast to. And if you have a toddler as he will keep running away with it. And if you got those mega TB data sim it cut the red tape of home base routes or internet connections

Jay but you gonna plug your phone into charging all the time since while casting and watching movie on your smart TV your mobile must be kept on charging even if you watching movies or programmes..and every time you will change channels you gonna manually pick your phone and change programmes unlike using mouse or wireless remotes the process becomes easy In android tv boxes charging isn't the issue since they just plugged in power like any electronic device.. Yes it is IR. So you will have to point at the box. You could look into buying a remote which has a USB Dongle which takes this problem away.

G'day mate 👍 love the the videos, information is top notch. Question: I have a H96 Pro plus octacore I bought about 12 mths ago. All was going well till yesterday, I turned it on..... Let it set up.... Whammo hello home page all normal, then after about 20sec it freezes nilla nutfin zilch, I have to restart it to get the same problem again. If I'm quick enough I can scroll and highlight and app but again nothing it just freezes. Not sure what to do I'm not that tech savvy so go easy on me 🤣🤣 . Cheers Mate thanx

Mine arrived today, the display definitely goes to the top in fact too far! I need to reduce the size but can't do it in settings, anyone know how? And, can you access the bottom navigation bar on this? *Update: Cinema HD just about works but buffers badly, livenet and redbox tv won't load the box doesn't respond to the remote wireless keyboard ESC button.
