Great video, thank you! I ordered the kit after watching your video. I found that I had to modify the scales on my Leatherman Charge TTI, (2013 mod). The scales on my tool are not flat like on yours. There were some added thickness at each end of the scale and so I had to grind them down about 2mm. After completing the modification I had two of the laser cut spacers left. I am happy with the end result, but it took some hours to do the modification.

Cool! I’d like to see more mods or aftermarket pieces/options for the Leatherman Crunch. I know options are limited because it’s so unique and retired now, but I still would like to see what can be done. Thanks for another great video.

I agree! It’s sometimes hard to justify the R&D and investments on retired or less popular tools but I hope someday to get my hands on a Crunch and tinker with some accessories.

Thanks as always for covering our tools! Looking forward to bringing more to market in 2024. Just learned about these other aliexpress options and they are very interesting. I wish they would work on the wave, though 😢.

You are welcome! Always excited to see more multi tool options available!

I just hope your channel is making the engineers to think the multitools. Because there is so much that can be done to optimize the space in multitools. I do specially like the pen and tweezers. I would like to see précision drivers (like torx) and other tools. I wish some multitools do have some removable mini tools (even if on the bad side thet can be lost) so even on the micro tool side it's modular. I also would like to see something about the scales (fatter) being able to even store some blades like a scalpel, a magnifying glass a jigsaw blade and so on...

Great ideas!

Totally agree! Even a small level of modularity to the OEM designs would attract a lot of unique accessories I feel. We’re already starting to see it with the Arc, simply because it includes easily accessible screw holes.

Thanks for the video. I really like the additional tools. Honestly more for the novelty but they are really cool.

What's your favorite the original Wave, Wave (second generation), Wave+, Charge (154CM) or the Charge TTi? I still love my second-generation Wave, more robust outer implements and a simplified tool set on the inside. Do you like the Charge TTi or the ARC better?
@hvacbudget86009 ай бұрын
I really like the Charge TTI of the Wave style tools. I like the Arc's outside opening tools as well.

They need to make lockpicks that fit in

Do you know if this would work for the leatherman surge? Even if the mod doesnt work, would those tweezers fit in the space already in place for the leatherman surge?!

Just made a short to address this great question. The answer is kindof and the short video should help answer the question further.

Is that a newer charge? I have one from 2007.. on the description it says I’d need to grind out a notch on my tti in order to use the pen

I'm not sure, I got it off ebay I don't think it's that new.

So many options

I really like the tweezer option. But like a lot of others, the quality of the Leatherman products is not comparable to the goods delivered (currently waiting on the 3rd warranty repair on my Style PS scissors). I just can’t give them my business any longer. Currently buying the Roxon products for my daily drivers.

It does somewhat. Check out my latest short video for more info.

I won't buy anything made by leatherman now , each new release shows there greed by selling the highest price multi tool in the world that's not worth half of what they are asking...From now on I'll buy off brand/ copy's for 10+x less than what leatherman are trying to overcharge for ...

Why do you think so? How much is a chipest brand new knife with s30v and titanium? And here will be the knife only, not the tool.
